Lottery/Card Minigame

Hello sythe and welcome to my suggestion thread!
Before reading this thread realize I won't be collecting any of the money myself I have pm'd a few mods and have some highly trusted users interested in starting this with me!

It's going to seem a little everywhere and all over the place at the start but I have 2-3 main ideas I'd like to start trying to figure out and open up as a fun community event.

My first and main idea: Lottery

This lottery system will work just like real life lottery tickets in a sense, my idea for this is too sell lottery tickets at a set price of 3M EOC, 500k 07. For now I won't be accepting rl $ or other game currencies until we see how well can do. Tickets will be set to a maximum of 10 per sythe user. I haven't completed figured out how many spots we will have on each lottery until I see how busy this gets, and I also need to find the BEST method for randomizing winners (feel free too suggest things).

The draw will be held Bi-Weekly too give me time to collect money for tickets and organize all the members in the draw, the draw will be live streamed too avoid hassles or inconveniences it will also be recorded in-case members of the draw can't attend it.

My second idea: Ace of Spades

This idea comes from reading sythes post explaining utilities some members don't know about: "Green cards" are from a separate unique deck of cards which is available in every post. You can pull up to 52 cards off this deck before you run out, but it won't affect the next person's deck. These cards have a green background to distinguish them from the thread-deck cards.

To draw a green card use [ gcard ]hitme[ /gcard ] without spaces" - Sythe

My idea for this game is much more simple, it would be a thread where users will pay to draw card(s), the first user too draw the Ace of Spades wins the threads pot. I haven't decided on a card price for this as again I have no idea how popular it will be or can get.. The maximum cards you could buy per post would be 5, which makes your chances in pulling the Ace of Spades at about 1/10. Now if the player pulls the ace of spades on their first pick, they will refunded plus I will give an amount of my own money for participating.

::These are my two main ideas for right now I am not even sure they are posted in the right section I would love constructive criticism on these ideas and how to improve on them, but keep in mind I will NOT be collecting the money personally as I am not trusted I will just be organizing all the events, the threads, doing the live streams and draws myself; until I get more trusted I have mods and highly trusted players willing to help me!

 

I would like to hear feedback on this as well Also, he has been pming staff about handling the money so no worries there

 

Why not just do it? What's the suggestion?

 

Might be in the wrong section, I really want to get you interested in this Roary you have a big community impact, but mainly looking for feedback on how well this could work and how many would be interested!

Also in which thread would this be hosted to appeal to those in the RS community but gamblers as well?

They have been done before, in fact one is open right now: http://www.sythe.org/community-general/1703557-lottery-win-cool-stuff.html. Superman, n4n0 (mostly) and I (kind of) hosted one officially here. It got people involved but it wasn't too popular.

If the prize had additional incentive you could buy participants but I don't know how worth it that would be.

In regards to the minirank/card game threads, there are a number of similar ones here www.sythe.org/sand-box/ and I did one here where I just changed "how to win" around every now and then. When I return from my leave I could do so again, no problem really.
