Work experience...

    Hey Sythe,

Just got to my new work experience location. I work here from 8:30AM till 5PM Which means I get up at 7:00 and leave arrive back home at +- 6.

    That's a wonderful 11 hours a day! And best of all is : I Don't get paid!

Anyways, Main reason of this thread is so that you guys know I won't be as active as usual. And if you guys have work experience? Do you get paid?

I got the WIFI password so I'm not complaining! I see some other Sythe members work here too. Now I just need to find out who.

So guys, How do I find out who has a Sythe account. It's a quite professional job and I don't feel like going up to around 40 people asking who has a Sythe account...

    Leave your comment below :)

    Looking forward to reading some

    Hey man, good luck!

    Where are you working?

When I was at school, in Year 11, final year, we all got sent on a week's unpaid work experience, although some employers did chose to pay some of their 'workers' a reduced sum at the end of the week if they impressed.

Heya, I work at a big tech repair workplace. So it's quite interesting. A lot of people here that do the same as me. I will be doing this for half a year. And it will be all for free.

I worked at a garage for 2 weeks and the deal was unpaid but the manager gave me £60 at the end. Better than nothing.

6 Months work for free is quite extreme. Is it literally just for experience, or is there a chance of a placement at the end of it? Regardless, I'm sure you're doing it for a good reason so best of luck!

And off topic, I'll be back from work at 4:00pm GMT so I'll give you a shout on Skype bud :)

Hmm, I don't think anything will be given. Hell, he gets mad when I take a cup of coffee from his machiene.

Be sure to do so, Also I'm actually forced to do so because otherwise I'd fail my school. No change of placement after.

Ive never worked for free, I have however done manual labor for nearly minimum wage a good while as a parr of an apprenticeship program.

Worth it in my case.always good to have new and diverse job skills under your belt.

Hah, try university maybe. I wake up at 5 and get home at 7 most days. Sometimes as late as 9. Best part is, you certainly aren't paid, but you do pay to go there.

Ive done dish washing to construction work to grocery clerk, recently quit security after working dreadful 12 hour shifts every other day for 2 years. Now I'm making about the same amount making skids of product for grocery stores but working way less and I don't mind it. Also live gigs for the last 4 years

Congratulations on your new employment! You must be an intern? When I interned two years back, I was getting paid 12.00 dollars an hour. Now I am part time at the same company and hoping to go full time when I graduate. (Fingers crossed) The experience and the connections will be worth more than monetary value they can give you. I would strongly advise you make yourself an asset, ask questions but respect employee’s time. Basically this means ask them when they have time for you. Also, learn their lingo and engage in the small jokes to help make the work space more enjoy.

Also, never come in to work complaining about your personal life. Unless someone dies they don’t care. Also, if you are going to be late on a project let your co-workers know. In addition don’t make excuses instead try and offer solutions. As for you see other Sythe members work here, how do you come to find that out? Did you see someone browsing it or what exactly haha. Also please, don’t go around asking people that. Although if your boss is a sythe user, that maybe you should of put that on your resume lol just kidding.

    Heya,

Yeah my boss turns out to be Sythe himself, ( jk )

And I'm not wasting people's time. I'm actually working for them and I'm trying to do a as good as possible job. And it paid off! I got offered an Imac which I declined though.

As for the Sythe things, I see a lot of people on my IP list ever since I posted on the IP I'm using now. Most of them are banned though. But people here are not really good at communicating. It's all quote silent :(

Dang, But in the end you got some experience you can actually use Swan. And not even talking about the job you need it for.

Matt, Glad to hear it's gotten better for you. As for me. I got offered a free Imac because I was doing my best etc. So it does pay off to put some efford in your work! Even though it's free.
