Project Genesis: A Glimpse Into the Future of Botting

Estimated release date was first Christmas, then 4-8 weeks after Christmas now whats the ETA...? These are facts anyone looking to buy this bot (which isn't even a bot yet..) should be prepared to wait many months.

 

Accurate estimations of complex projects in software development is difficult, regardless of the industry. He has stated that these kinds of ETAs mean it's still a good ways away.. This is just a dev thread, so people can see new info.

 

Well, it's a pretty major project, and first of its kind. Be patient, it's better they release something that is actually complete and functional than if they rushed it and people got banned / it didn't work at all.

From what I have read about your bot and the amount of time your putting into it, sounds freakin amazing. Can't wait to see it and and interface to allow people to make their own bots without scripting... That would start a new era of botting. Keep up the good work!

In theory, yes, it will tailor your mouse movements, etc. Trent could elaborate, however, I would strongly suggest reading through this thread.

 

Excited for the release.. any update on a time frame? I know they say early 14 but it's nearing summertime already.

 

RID doesn't plan on releasing an ETA until he completely finalizes the interfaces, once that's done he'll move onto "bot making." It's also important to note that RID is a perfectionist, therefore; he won't proceed to the "bot making" phase until the interface phase is exactly what he expects it to be.

TL;DR - There won't be an ETA until RID completes the interface to his liking, which he's still continuing to do.

Yes. Upon release it should support any version of RuneScape. Over time support will be added for other games besides RS.

The ETAs RiD gives us is the closest guess we have. Ultimately though, ETAs are very rough, and so we really can't rely on them to be completely accurate.

However, once RiD finishes the interfaces he will begin the last stage of the project.

Awesome this project is starting to excite me. Say I wasn't wanting to take the dive and buy unlimited now would I be able to test software and then purchase unlimited upon release at a premium?

 

Unlimited is only available for sale prior to the release of Genesis. After that it will no longer be sold. The free version does not include human input, but I'd be surprised if RiD did not keep some sort of free trial of the premium version for new users.

 

So how would premium work? similar credit system that was used before?

Essentially there will be 3 different tiers, each with their own monthly subscription cost. Each tier will have a different daily botting allowance.

The 1st tier will have the lowest daily botting allowance, and will be the cheapest.

The 2nd tier is more than the 1st in daily botting allowance, and will be priced more than the 1st but less than the 3rd.

The highest tier is the only one we know much information about. Those with the highest tier will be able to bot at least 72 hours per day with Genesis. This subscription will cost the most.

Unlimited users will automatically be given the highest tier of allowance.

You might be thinking, "72 hours?? There's only 24 hours in a day!". Basically, the way it works is that you can run as many accounts as you want, up until the total botting time hits your daily allowance. So in this example, you could run 3 accounts for 24 hours, or 6 for 12 hours, etc etc.

Pre-existing credit will still work at a rate of 1 credit/hour.
