Perhaps you two are right. Though, most games these days that are being released are typically the same as all the others or a re-release of an old one.

 

I bought one of the most original games I have played. It is an RTS called Creeper World 3. It is amazing and throws an awesome spin on the RTS genre. They're good games being released all of the time, but the AAA titles are all cookie cutter. Indie games are the future of gaming. Check out the game Limit Theory. It is amazing.
