I was wondering what strategy of botting you all follow. I'll break them down so you know what I'm talking about.

Short term (low risk as you always earn your investment, low return):

Pumping out mass amounts of accounts each day, botting them non stop to cover the cost of membership + make a small profit before they're banned within 24-72 hours. People often bot them at places like Flax, etc, that require no stats/req's.

Medium term (medium risk as the account could be banned before it's trained, no return in the beginning, higher return once accounts are trained):

Creating accounts with the intention of doing more profitable money making methods that have a lower chance of bans.

This is the method I'm a fan of as it only takes 4-5 days to train the account and GP/HR rates are much higher along with very low ban rates, if the chosen method is smart.

Long term (high risk if the account is banned before it's trained, no return in the beginning, very high return once accounts are trained):

Training up accounts, questing them a little, pretty much turning them into mains. This takes a month or so to do but once trained they can make a lot of money.

Personally, I don't prefer this as the GP/hr is only slightly higher than that of medium term farming but with a much longer investment period.

Discuss below what method you follow. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then I'm sorry.

Well, since I'm on a static IP, I am definitely a fan of long-term :p

Safer botting, baby sit a lot, mix it up. Whilst I do see what you describe as 'medium turn' to be, in my opinion, the most profitable and efficient method, I won't venture down that path unless I get IP flagged in which case I'll divert to proxies / a VPN, and be able to mass gold farm :)

I'm also on a static, I just use VPN(s) though, or proxies. I suppose medium term is keeping the account for a month or 2, whereas long term is probably 6 or so.

i would be using the long term, but since I'm not running a botfarm, and just training my own account i bot safely but still 14+ hours a day.

I honestly don't see long term is even a possibility. Ban rates are obnoxiously high. I'm short term, experimenting with 2 ideas for medium term farming.

I don't really goldfarm anymore, but I've always been long term. With my main close to max cape, I bot as much as I can per day. I'll even bot 50 hours at a time if I can (not counting the breaks the bot takes). I've been botting about 4-5 years now.. You have nothing to worry about if you bot safe, and use the right products.

Short term, that's how it is now if you want to run a semi-large goldfarm.

Personally I think medium length bots are the way to go. Mostly due to the fact that they have a huge return in terms of profit and a not so hard start up like Anthony described. Also an added bonus would since they are slightly trained the possibility of a couple of the bots being left alone for months on end is realistic ( if botted correctly of course) which just means more returns without too much spending. And if there are survivors just turn em into long term bots because hey why the hell should you not keep the momentum going right? But yea just my opinion. :p

Definitely medium term. Short has a too high of a ban rate, cbf with, and with long term I just don't have the patience for.

medium or long term, short term are too hard to maintain and require a lot of hours.

I like to bot stakers and make money that way... Not a legit guaranteed moneymaking method but mostly what I play 07 for.

So more on topic would be medium botting I suppose :p
