Renting a car if youre under 21?

Hi so the problem that i have today is that im moving to canada soon and i need to rent a car for a few days but most of the companies require you to be 21 or older so do you have any suggestions on what i should do? im 20 years old

 

Instead of renting a car, could you purchase a low-cost junker for a few days? You might save a few dollars in the long run, as well as have a back-up car (just a thought).

 

Yep, that was plan B. But i havent been able to find any websites that i can look at cheap shitty cars in the edmonton area

autotrader.ca ? Select the Edmonton area and choose your price limit. See what they have there? I mean, there are others like that I'm sure... But yeah - Is there anything specific you're looking for? A set price range? etc.

 

Have a friend or family member who's over 21 put it in their name.

 

I am going with a friend who is also 20 years old, is there a form that i could print out and have my parents sign?
