    virus scan.

Okay, my laptop is running windows 7 and is not exactly a new model but its not really old either. It runs a lot slower than it should and it freezes a lot. I was wandering if anyone knew any good, free virus scan or protection programs? Id do a tootle search for it but tbh, I don't trust myself picking one and would rather get a few extra opinions. Thanks:D

Could just be your laptop. Maybe do a reformat and reinstall your OS?

Look underneath your laptop. Do you see a Microsoft sticker with a license key on it?

    virus scan.

Aside from doing a complete reformat just run any virus scan really. Any of the major anti-malware tools will work just fine.

Try avast for something free that'll do a decent job.

    virus scan.

Malwarebytes works really well on computers that are already infected.
Maybe try doing a system restore point?

Best thing to do is just reformat and try not to be a knucklehead next time. Weird how I use Windows without an antivirus, look at and download a piss ton of porn, and never have a fucking issue.
