To be fair if you didn't want to pay for a kid then you shouldn't have had one. It is that simple, so it isn't really fair or relevant to complain about child support.

Insurance is something that isn't a tax and gas prices, I know they're fairly heavily taxed in the US not sure about everyone else, aren't a tax either.

You also get an extensive social safety net that includes great unemployment benefits and free healthcare as well as free college, if I remember correctly.

Which doesn't do us good trust me, support the slackers and punish the hard workers. You can potentially rake in 1.8k euro/months unemployed. Same goes with healthcare as alot of people abuse that.

Exactly. The government wants to eliminate the middle class completely, they want just the super rich and the poor. The middle class has too much power , that's why they are trying to break it apart by taxing us till we cant handle it.

Unemployment benefits only IF you've worked for a solid 20 years.
No free healthcare -> you pay it within your healthcare insurance. End of the year you still get billed (partial).

    College is paid.

I agree in the UK it seems excessive. But here in Scotland we get loads of free things like free University forever, free healthcare and prescriptions. A lot arguably does get wasted but I think taxes work better than paying for everything ourselves.
