This, all pushups are going to get you the ability to do more pushups (and a slight tone)..

Stick to the fundamentals hombre... do some deadlifts, squats, pullups, dips, bench press... shit that will give you functional strength + put on some size.
If you follow a simple split or any old routine, you'll make ALL KINDS OF GAINSssss.

I'm not skinny and I eat 5x a day (4 light snacks and 1 big meal (lunch)), I'm a bit fat not really that fat and I gained weight back in Summer of 2012 when I always eat high-fat food and I don't exercise at all.

I mean there's effective training programs out there that you can do from home, but I'd recommend shelling out 20 $ to get a gym membership to see optimal progress.

Yeah , I'd also suggest you not to train everyday. Take a day off between trainings, that's when muscles grow. If you train everyday they just nicely sculpt but they don't grow at all. You can train everyday but just different parts of your body.

He's correct in saying that growth is done when you aren't training. Muscles nicely sculpt if you train everyday? Lol ok, seems legit. Even with training different parts of your body you will want a rest day at the end of your split.

E.g. Currently I am doing PPL (Push, Pull, Legs). In my routine, Push works chest, shoulders and triceps. Pull works back, biceps and traps and legs, well legs works legs (quads, hams, calves). At the end of the 3 day split though, I take a day off, so I repeat the sequence every 4 days.

Lol... So you're saying that you and two others are the only ones that lift on sythe? Here are my measurements.

    Neck 17
    Hips 43
    Arms 16
    Chest 49
    Calves 18
    Waist 43
    Forearms 13
    Shoulders 21
    Thighs 25

So please do not assume that every kid on sythe is some scrawny kid who just get things from the internet.

3 sets on each arm everyday? that's it? You need to be spending about 40 minutes of hard smashing your biceps/triceps once a week not just 3 sets... 3 sets of curls/hammers etc. 20 reps is obviously too light for you, You wont get bigger using light weights and doing more reps, This will get you more ripped. You need to be curling at least double that weight to see bigger gains.
This goes for every other part of your body. If gym access is a problem for you and your heaviest dumbbell is 20lb I'd go to 4 sets of each exercise @ 12 reps. You need to go a gym tho, Just having 20lb dumbells won't cut it. They're too light and the lack of equipment you have at home is just A set back. I understand when people see no gains it's hard to stay motivated but you won't be getting any gains doing what you do.

EDIT: As someone said, I really wouldn't get advice from the skinny little retarded nerds on this forum. If you want any personal advice then pm me. Or you can get a lot of beginner advice here. http://forum.bodybuilding.com
Also youtube is your friend. Lee Hayward's vids helped me learn a lot about exercises etc when beginning.
You will learn all basic exercise to advanced.

Measurements mean nothing, You could be fat. But I agree with you. The guy posting all that shit has probably 1 year experience max and thinks he's arnold, These are the types of kids you find living on gaming forums. None of them have gains.

Good for you man and I mean that sincerely. You transformed your body completely, it should be an inspiration to a lot of people like wetbreasts. All I'm just trying to dispel the broscience that's been posted, I couldn't care less about who actually does lift or not - I'm just focusing on raw knowledge that several people in this thread have preached which is incorrect and will not allow for all kinds of gains. It's just advice though, do whatever the FUCK you wanna do.

I have no disillusions of my physique.

How long are you working out per day? If you only pump a 20 lb for two sets, you won't see shit for results. The main barrier of fitness is the time you put into it, not the effort. Even after you increase the amount of time you put into working out, you have to do different kinds of exercises to round out your body, just doing one exercise will only build muscle in one area of your body.

Eat, sleep and train properly. Get a 3-5 day workout split and it will get you going, triceps make up 2/3 of your arm so better off doing them also supersets are great youll see gainz like a mtherfker

Doing the same thing over and over won't help you that much. If you're just doing that exercise, 3 sets is not that much either. If you want to gain a bit of mass, lower the reps and up the weight.

It could be that you are doing it wrong. Make sure that you don't swing the dumbbells like most people do and make sure you tense as much as possible while doing each rep. When you join the gym, make sure to get a personal trainer to start off with. Some gyms give you free sessions but some you'll have to pay for. This is vital in knowing what is right and what is wrong. To help you a bit, you may also want to sign up with a friend so that you want to go more.

Don't take roids mate. Muscle building isn't going to be a fast process. You're looking at months of hard work, but I can tell you that it pays off in the end. A lot of people join then stop going, but if you get past that beginners point then you'll want to go.

You can gain muscle and lose weight at the same time if you have a lot of fat. Depending on your body shape, you could try lose some weight first with cardio. I'm not the most amazing person to give advice (I've been going to the gym for a couple years though). You might be interested in joining bodybuilding.com's forum.

    Eat protein
"lifting almost everyday" -maybe you should let your muscles rest
Also, look for some workout routines and try something new.
Also, don't use steroids.. you will look like rotten tomato after you quit using them + they are not good for your body

Thank you! I was cringing while reading through all that broscience.

The majority of people do not know what they're talking about. Always -- and I mean always verify to see whether what you are told is true. The internet is vast with PROPER information from actual studies. Always ask yourself the credibility to what people say, never guess they're right because most of the time, they're not.
