Dont install ANYTHING from the earn RuneCoins button

User have run into issues when installing programs from so called "Earning" sites. There are reports right now of the site being infested with Malware.

Another red flag is that the replies in the feedback link are hidden, which to me says that Jagex doesn't want people's problems made public. Link here

I know this already it randomly installed garbage on my CPU. a bit ticked off atm.

 

Smooth move on jagex's part, it's being seen to though, you'd think they'd of partnered with somebody a little better really.

I hate mod infinity, he's such a twat. Tries to make all these official responses that make him look like a dumbass. Anyway, I'm not surprised by the viruses in the rune coins, lol

 

it's so sad how jagex are subjecting their players to ad companies that collect their information and subject them to viruses and adware.

 

Reminds me of miniclip or any other generic flash game site. I was okay with the micro-transactions, but these are pretty silly. Thanks for the heads up, Josh.

Dafuq are you crying about? Noone is forcing you to go "earn" runecoins. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

 

If you do need runecoins for whatever reason, use http://www.sandboxie.com/ to do them and for the installs. Means you don't need to install shitty malware because it installs on there.

 

It's not about watching free ads for runecoins.
It's about partnering advertisement sites who auto-download players with AdWare.

Most people who tried the method are young children who don't know how to make money online thus get infected.
