Measle outbreak in Canada.

I just got off the phone with one of my friends in Ottawa. She told me of the news & that she hasn't been able to leave her house in a while due to the outbreak.

Are there any other Canadians on the site that are facing the same thing in their city? What are your thoughts?

 

*Sigh* I heard about this earlier today.. If parents would be proactive in vaccinating their children something like this eould be far less severe. I have some family up in BC that wont vaccinate their children as they deem it unnatural or some shit.

Oh and im all good up in Saskatchewan.

 

You know, it is stupid to not vaccinate. Diseases have been eliminated due to vaccinations and now people think that they're going to get some cancer if they vaccinate. Everything causes cancer now or so you would be led to believe by the media.

 

There are some skeptical parents out there that do believe certain vaccinations will do more harm than good. I don't know if it's because there is a lack of information given/provided to educate the residents in these affected areas.

 

well, this hasn't reached montreal yet as far as I'm concerned.
