Do I complete this trade?

Hey I'm currently in the process of selling quite a large quantity of Fifa Coins (over £1000) to someone off here.

The reason why im a little unsure whether I should complete the trade is because the person sythe username has vouches, but they are very old (6+ months), and doing an ip scan they are linked to a banned scammer account.

Also, the account the money has been sent from is from someone in London.
The person im speaking to is apparently in Australia


They've told me they are visiting family, I contacted the sender on facebook and they responded confirming it was fine (but i think the buyer has access to their facebook).


Any advice?

 

I'm assuming it's via PayPal? If so, don't. From what you've mentioned it seems to be a stolen paypal account, and ultimately you will lose the £1000. I'd suggest trading via Western Union/PA/and or sell at a relatively cheaper price to an established user, with hundreds/thousands of quality vouches.

 

I wouldn't do it if it's via PP, it will just get claimed back, Just think.. Why would he be willing to go first to you when you're a newcomer, and he has vouches.

 

For that much money, I wouldn't trade with anybody unless if it was through either an OMM/mod or an irreversible payment method.

use a OMM with a pm only, dont use paypal, do increments.

 

First of all - accepting paypal payment is 100x worse than going first-- the payment can be reversed up to 45 days later and you will be fucked. Using a trusted MM still can't protect you from this.

Trade using an OMM and an irreversible payment method (Moneypak, WU) for an amount that size to be sure you won't get scammed.

 

Stupid idea. multiple payments can be charged back even easier because someone can say he sent too many payments accidently.

 

Yeah dude there is no guarantee whatsoever even using a middleman, once I read that his ip shared with a scammer I wouldn't do it but then again, I'm using cellular /mobile data which uses the phone company wifi, anyways paypal is risky and it's all up to you

 

Well as a bit of an update, I didn't complete the trade, I managed to get in contact with the original persons paypal it was, and refunded the payment (as he already sent the money).
Shortly after, an impersonator of n4n0 added me on skype asking if everything was ok, then a buyer added me and said yes to bank transfer + agreed to use a middleman, funnily enough i'd been added by the HEAD OMM? Nope, scammer... and exposed them both
