RS3 or 07?

Hey guys. I am a long time player starting back in 04 and officially quoting somewhere around 10. I just recently came back to rs to try and get back into it. I came across the 07 server and immediately got nostalgic. I was so excited until I realized that accounts didn't transfer. The server I know and love is back, but my original account thst I've put years of work into is on RS3. My question is, is 07 worth starting over an all knew account or should I stick with my beloved account but play the current version of the game? Im not crazy about the new game but if its worth it ill stick with it. I didn't know where else to post this so I don't want any bias or slander. I just want some answers to help me decide.

 

07- outdated, nostalgia, everything you used to enjoy and more of a challenge, new account
Rs3- current, new stuff, uncertain legacy mode/138cb coming, easier, your good old account, treasure hunter/rune coin/cosmetic bullshit

Play both? Maybe 07 while you check in to see how rs3 is going since its going to be changing a lot

Personally I play only rs3 so maybe get more opinions on 07

 

There's something called legacy mode coming to the main server where pre-eoc combat is side by side with the current one.

07 is fun and if you have the time, definitely give it a go. It's more fun starting over than doing nothing on a completed account that can't achieve anything more.

 

Like ill be able to choose between the two? My biggest problem with rs3 is the hp. It confuses the hell out of me. 60 used to be my max.

 

07 is great. Even if you lose the nostalgic feeling, it's still really fun to play as it feels like the real game how it should be.

If you really really can't decide, you can always play both

07 is definitely something you love to play because it reminds you of the old days. I prefer 07 over RS3.

 

Honestly, it depends on the person. Personally, I just don't want to restart an account and I don't hate rs3, so I stuck with that. If you truly do love 07 alot more than rs3, then I would say to give that a go.

 

2007 was the heyday of my RS years, but the thought of starting from scratch was a major turn off. I think about the long hours I spent on the game and the thought of doing it all over again just isn't appealing. I'd rather play a RSPS that closely resembles 07scape than spend months training skills and doing quests all the while having a matured account on RS3 that I can use and enjoy new content with whenever I'm in the mood.

As for your particular situation, the question of whether to start over or not is entirely a personal one. You'll have to decide if the time and energy needed for 07scape is worth it. For me, and a lot of others, it's wasn't. But, the 07 economy is pretty good, the big updates are all voted on by the players, the community isn't bad and the game itself is, in-fact, a nice nostalgic experience. At the very least, you could play on it for a few hours/days. Maybe buy up some GP over in the market section and take it from there. Who knows, you might just find yourself having a lot of fun.

 

Set up an account on each, play both at same time

I enjoy both, i use EoC for all my skilling, 07 for my pvp and pures

 

rs3 is too complicated for me, i wish they would have kept pre-eoc 2012-13 scape. starting to get bored of 07 aswell, but i still play.

IF you're more into old combat system and graphics give 07 a shot, meanwhile Rs3 is still going under alot of updates and new grpahics and lots of challenges.

 

I'm more into rs3 but that's my personal choice, but i think, the upcoming legacy mode will bring a new light to the game, or at least, i hope so.

 

07 is fun but dull I find where as rs3 is fresh and fucking awsome! But defo try both tho.

 

RS3 is my choice I didn't like it at first I hate it, but now im kinda into it not as much as better tho and 07 I don't really wanna put time into something thats going to die when legacy comes out.

 

I am a Current player in 07 Rs3 kind of destroyed the combat PKing aspect of the game so im not liking it that much.

 

07 Most likely would had died if it wasent for that recent wildy update

Personally I prefer RS3 to 07 but you should really try both and make your own decision. RS3 may seem really complicated at first but once you get used to it it really isn't.
