Weekly / Monthy Skill Competitions.

Howdy guys, just looking to see who would possibly be up for some possible friendly competition around here.

It's great motivation to get some stats up, Possible prizes and such.

I used to run them in my previous clan and they went very well, people were inclined to train skills.

Possibly talk to admins about a mini rank for competition winners, as I know there is for graphics and such.

But hey, do you think?

Exp would be tracked by proper exp trackers, I have several working ones i've used over the years.

Ideas:

• Leader Boards - Points awarded for higher placements per one.
• Voting - People would be able to vote for which skill they want next.
• Prizes - Prize would be based on number of entrants.
• Teams - Allow for combined exp and work in teams to get the most exp.

 

I would totally be down for this so write me down. Sounds like some fun and enjoyable training with the competitive aspect still in tact.

 

How do you prevent people from botting?

 

Drento, anything a bot can do, can be done twice as fast by hand.

Also pretty easy to work out who's botting by looking at exp rates, if you're doing something at like 75% normal exp rate, but doing it for 48 hours straight? Probably a bot.

But hey, you can't really just STOP the bots, but if people are willing to risk their accounts over stuff like this then go nuts haha. If people wanted to make a FRESH account to bot and try win on, well you're clearly going to lose as well.

Essentially I don't think bots would be a problem, but they're also not too hard to notice.
