Archer rings..

so supposedly some rich player on RS3 sold a crap ton (10k?) of archer rings on ge for a low price and it made them spike down in price by tons, and archer rings were at one point 25k each. (200k some at the time of this post)..

anyone have anymore info about this??thoughts?

 

Yeah, a clan member of mine heard some guys talking about it this morning, so we stocked up. Prices seem to be rising now, but I'm still seeing people selling them in bulk for ~200k around ge on the more populated worlds

 

It was duped, accounts that are mass trading them will have consequences...

Nah only mass amounts, pmods spamming in w2 saying just to keep them in the bank. Be wary tho

Don't abuse the them too much as Jagex said 'mass trading' of the item should not be done until further notice.

Someone basically duped them.

 

I wonder if it was anyone on sythe..? At the very atleast I'm assuming someone here made bank off this.

 

Is there a link to the explanation of how/why they were duped anywhere? archer rings seems like a odd one to dupe

 

Agreed lol. Of all the things, an archer ring? That's a big ol' "why....?"

 

Chances are the dupe involved the ring slot, hence the weird item selected.
A lot of controversy going on.

As a Player Mod I can assure you Jagex is looking into the issue.

 

What makes you assume that someone on this site duped the rings? There is literally no information that would indicate such a thing.

 

Just an assumption probably. Generally a lot of dupes flow down hill to here.

 

Since when is there a glitch for profit that someone on sythe hasn't abused? Even before I joined when there was a dupe or staking glitch I'd be searching Sythe to see what was going on.

 

I just bought like 200 of them lol...

I wouldn't get too involved in trading them, although i did buy 10 for personal use in future. Leaving this here.

Name 3 glitches that were abused by members of sythe. There was only one major occurrence with duped gold, and I'm sure he inferred his assumption from that.

 

The gold dupe, multiple staking glitches (stalling, xlogging, dg parties, etc), luring glitches (stopping someone from moving, pushing into a dangerous area, etc), noclip glitches, firecape glitches, pk'ing glitches, etc. I've seen all of these being abused on sythe. Most major glitches are known here lol.

Either being abused, or sold then abused etc.


One instance of duped gold is simply incorrect.
