Runescape 2007 staking [hasta or whip]

First Of ALl i would like to know what to use on staking whip or hasta i saw the stats on rs 07 wiki and i also saw they are the same speed , whip have +1 max hit damage boost so is it worth it to use hasta?[i use a max hit calc] and if i did hit for example a 18 with a hasta would it be a 19 if i did use a whiP? or it should be max hit ex. 24 to hit 25

 

Hasta got defence stats, that's why people use it to tank hits in general

Defence stats are more important that +1 damage in this case.

 

Does hasta have a strength only style, or is it controlled?
