Exactly, This site is mainly for cheating purposes, to have a rule that forbids it in a certain way is strange.

How serious you take your education is highly correlated with your future success in life. Power leveling and buying gold are not. At least give a rational and well justified argument to support your request to implement this feature...

 

School means jack shit and it is not our place to make sure kids or college students do their homework.

 

What SuF said, not to mention: paying for help doesn't mean you don't take education seriously. No single piece of homework is going to help you land a Fortune 500 company, especially when most if not all classes in universities are weighted towards tests, not homework assignments.

What statistics can you share to prove that? Education does not determine your ranking in society in terms of success.

 

And lots of homework is busy work that you don't have to do to learn the material.

My reasoning's are obvious, and it's clear that the majority agree. I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up before now, and even more surprised the rule was put in place to start with.

 

And on top of it all, when interviewing for a job, you're not going to hear "so, Mr. Spindles, how did you get such a good grade on your physics 101 homework assignment #3, pg 50 question 4.a)? You didn't happen to... PAY someone, did you?"

 

I'd also like to point out, that if asking for help on a homework assignment is such a taboo, why don't we just remove the section entirely? People are still getting others to answer questions for them, even without offering a cash reward. If you're so against it, let's just do away with it entirely!

And your GPA is pointless after your first job anyways. And half the classes you take in college are useless for what you want to do.

 

It should be clarified that MMU’s suggestion here came forward from what was originally a thread offering to pay someone to DO his homework for him. He wasn’t asking for help, he was asking for someone else to complete the assignment for him. There is nothing wrong with paying someone to help you learn material; that is what tutoring is for.

My point is that these are entirely different situations. Buying gold and power leveling is helping you achieve a rank within a game that is completely meaningless in terms of real life success. It’s not going to significantly affect your life or those you interact with. It is just a game. Cheating your education will harm your intellectual development and put you on the path to pursue the lazy paths in life that do not lead to success. This is not only a matter of cheating on the homework, it’s a matter of cheating yourself and encouraging lazy behavior that will carry over to other parts of life.

I agree that "do your own homework, its better arguments" are hilarious considering the context of this website.

There shouldn't be a section for it, it doesn't even need to be encouraged, I just don't see a reason why it has to against the rules.

 

There's nothing to refute because your points are non sequitors. I'm stating that paying someone to DO one's homework not only robs oneself of the intellectual gains of completing that assignment but also correlates with a development of lazy attitude and behavior that affects other parts of life in general.

Sythe is a marketplace that encourages individuals to succeed and make a positive financial gain through their gaming experiences.It also positively benefits those who wish to purchase the gold/power leveling services because there are little to no negative real life consequences associated with such purchases (ignoring gambling addicts). Having someone do your homework for you may benefit you briefly in the short run, but it comes with great consequences in the long run. It would be against the spirit of Sythe to encourage such self-damaging behaviors.

 

And I'm saying you're not the white knight of everyone's conscience. If someone is fine with not learning anything, then they have the right to spend their own money to do so. Who is sythe, the king forum of taking the lazy way out, to say otherwise? It's stupid to make them go elsewhere to look for paid homework services when we ALREADY have a section for exactly what they're looking for, barring the stupid rule against offering cash.
