Staking stratagems.

I've given staking a go a handful of times and always kind of just brushed the idea off as BS but is there a certain style that, objectively, provides better results than say, simply using accurate attack style?

If so, obviously I'd like to hear about it. If not, how do you go about your staking stratagems?

im a pure so i always do it on str, and i think its a myth that changing attack styles improve your chances of winning

 

That makes sense. I'm not speaking strictly in the sense of attack styles, I mean things like do you allow movement or obstacles? Do you rambo 4 spec right out of the gate? Do you poke-spec combo or time your specs accordingly?

 

I've noticed whenever I stake and do dds to whip, I max out 25s with the whip on aggressive, whereas if I use accurate or defence my max is like 23 or 24. So yeah I believe you should use whip on aggressive if you need to make a comeback. However if I have a huge hp lead, I tend to put my whip on accurate, as I tend to hit way less zeroes with it than aggressive. If I'm very low hp, I always put it my whip on defensive. You have no idea how many times I've been sitting on 1-3 hp, and my opponent also has like 1-5 hp and he gets pid and zeroes on me when im on defensive and I hit the final ko.

 

i usually do no movement dds and fire off all specs in a row, but if you're a ranger and good at obstacles its good to do obstacles because you can dodge a few hits if you're good

 

max hit with aggressive is a 25, but only a 24 with accurate, so it does make a difference what style you do use. Most people say that if you get your opponent's hp to lower than your max hit, then you should use accurate to kill them.

 

dont stake against your odds, never.... even if they will x u, its not worth it in the end.
and maybe u could try out a zamorakian hasta, works fairly nice with the def bonuses

Sorry, what are stratagems? I presume you mean strategies?

When using a certain attack style, you get hidden bonuses of that stat.

You will see people staking who will attack on accurate then swap to defence, then back to attack when they hit.

For the above reason, it's very small, was confirmed in the past (ill try dig it out) not sure if it's been changed now though.

Might be worth testing it to see if you notice any difference.

It's up to you, what ever you think works best.. Personally I don't mess about too much, I always do my DDS specs on strength, then when switching to my whip, I use it on attack, for accuracy if there low DEF, or low HP at the time.

Personally - I don't rate Hastas at all.. I've won at least 100M off idiots that try to use them.

Hastas might be good for maxed cb staking to tank DDS specs, but there is no need for one at a low level.
