Free Unbanning Services

Is this even a real issue lol.. Shouldn't it be common sense that offering something like this should be free?

You're not PROMISING it will be unbanned, you're testing a method out
You're not making a profit and no ones harmed by it
It's the owners choice who sends in the appeal, so if they want you to try, why shouldn't you be allowed?

 

If this unban service gets accepted then the current rule should be completely removed (or at least modified)

Well why just free unban services? Because they would be paying for an uncertain outcome? Its like the lotto. Pay for a chance to win. People agree if you can play for free but not if you pay the 1 dollar?

The rule is very clear, how it should be. If someone comes to Sythe and sees a free unbanning thread and then makes an unbanning thread then its unecessary hassle. That will happen if rules aren't clear & direct.

Unbanning services aren't allowed. So dont post an unbanning service. Why not post a thread in the RS section/spam forum/donor lounge asking for people who've been banned recently and ask for their help?

Better question; why not PM someone instead of kicking up a fuss over nothing.

I was trying to say the rule was made by staff opinion on what I assume were paid unbanning services. Free ones were not really clearly denied in previous topics.

In my opinion all unban services are useless because:
1. not guaranteed to win.
2. is basically using an email and email adress to send the game company an email stating some facts about the account
3. the guides can be found elsewhere for free.

tl;dr:
I was pointing out that free unbanning services were never really discussed publicly, and therefore people could assume that free ones would be allowed.

There is really no point in argueing with staff because they are right to deny these services, free or paid.

An idiot is probably over half of Sythe users. Simple is better, always has and always will be.

Staff decided unbanning services weren't welcome here; so there it is. Having conditions on things only further complicates enforcing rules, decision making, communication of rules and so on. If you start putting conditions and maybe's in rules; that's when you have problems. If you start with one rule, people want conditions on all rules; which is why we decided that no unbanning services were allowed and not some unbanning services.

I'm simply stating differences of opinion, you don't need to mock or insult to get your point across. It's a discussion not a fight.

Show me where I said "I personally think that.." and wasn't just stating things or offering points for discussion. I don't need excuses, I could just ignore your thread, but I did try to offer points for discussion which could address concerns.

Surely it's easy enough to address those without insulting anyone? Don't make it so hard and frustrating for people to work with or help you.

 

You brought up one point which made no sense to me. Out of all the confusing rules established, this is one of them? I listed many good reasons why this should be allowed. There is no need for further discussion, in my opinion. I would only be reiterating myself, and no one likes repetition.

I am high as fuck right now. So list your reasonable opinions about this and I will get back to it when my high dies down. This is killing it, and I'd like to enjoy my moneys worth.
