Account Unbanning Service Idea

I'm thinking about offering a free account unbanning service.

Why make it free? I will be testing the success rate of the service, and take it elsewhere to charge money.

How this would work?

I would request users to tell me specific details about their ban.

The date
The reason

Along those, I would create an appeal form uniquely for that person. Each form would be different, and tailor made for that individual.

To assure my success rate, I would only accepts requests that do not fall under these restrictions.

The ban must be under 6 months time
The account must not be maxed (all 99s)
The account must be older than one year
An appeal must not be sent prior to requesting this service


These are just some of the restrictions I can think of. It should be easy enough to assure success if the bans don't fall under those restrictions.

What do you guys think about this?

Even if it's free it's still not allowed. Think of it like a "porn section". It's not allowed, and it's not allowed to be posted for free . Same rules apply.

 

Even if it's free, don't know if Sythe would allow it. I suggest speaking with an Admin before proceeding with anything.

 

Let me break it down for you.

The reason why selling unban services is prohibited is because of it's success rate. It's never a guarantee that your account will get unbanned. The seller would be able to exploit that to their advantage.

I am providing a free unban service with no risks. The rule specifically states "selling" this service is not allowed. Why would a free service be on the same stature? It's common sense.

Let's not make this into an argument about obvious rulings. I'd like to see an opinion on the service, and if it would be worthwhile.

 

Take into account context, e.g., "Porn" is allowed in the context of the USF. The reason SELLING unban services was disallowed is because of users essentially charging $20 to tell you to email Jagex saying your account got hacked, like Jagex had never heard that excuse before.

These services in general are still not allowed in any context. Free or Not.
