I don't have any experience with Zoloft, sorry. If it makes you feel shitty, you should let the doctor know and ask for an alternative.

I'm considering asking to change my Xanax prescription to Klonopin. Apparently it has a longer lasting effect, which will be useful for getting back into full time work.

Anxiety is something that everyone feels differently. While they may be the same symptoms, they offer very different results to the person experiencing them. It's similar to pain in a way. Everyone feels it differently and has a different tolerance.

From my experience, everyone I know in my town was started off with Clonazepam. It's kind of a sedative in a way, and is usually used to ward off seizures, however has a good affect on relaxation and softens stimulation in the nervous center. There are many different doses so there is usually a very strict testing period to make sure you get the proper dosage.

I would suggest asking your doctor about it.

    Jesus fuck. We're such a cliché. >.>

I don't even know what I'm on now - Lexapro was probably the worst, though. Can't feel much of anything on that.

I tried a few traditional psychiatrists before ending up in CBT. The former was too abstract and too heavily based on the past; I found the latter much more helpful. Apparently, I have a rather thoroughly skewed view of the world that is maladaptive. My shrink and I argue about a lot - I think he's coming around, though ;)

I actually had anxiety and its something really scary. It lead panic attacks to me and it occured when I was showering in hot water one day then i couldn't breathe. Really stoopid tbh for the situation it occured for me but the solution that helped me and never led me to anxiety is be calm. Its just Mind games bro and it can effect your overal health if it continues but its your brain playing mind games with you and you might have fast hear beat like I did

The worst (and perhaps most interesting) part is that social anxiety prevents you from calling/booking an appointment with a shrink to address your social anxiety. :V

I would switch to Klonopin. Xanax is more powerful, but it doesn't last throughout the day, and it makes you unable to do a lot of things. Even with Klonopin, I think it's great to mix it with a stimulant (of course not high dosages of both) to give you that extra drive.

I use to be so bad I couldn't bring myself to ask a teacher to use the restroom, let alone a pencil if I forgot one. I would just hold it in like mad until the class ended, and if I forgot a pencil I would just sit there and act like I was doing stuff. This all changed when I took Forensics (judged public speaking).

I still have it, but it doesn't affect my lifestyle as much as it use to.

Ryan i totallly feel you on this one but i believe that medication wont help if anything itll make it worse you dont need a pill to control your emotions your stronger than that

My girlfriend goes to one of the top specialists in Dallas and they have her on .5mg of klopnins three times a day. Some days are worse than others and she ends up taking 2 or 3 extra. Its very hard to understand what she goes through having no idea what she is going through. I wish the best for you. I wish they would give her like 5-10 xanax pills a month just for those really serious days. When she is in a full panic attack I worry for her life and those kpins don't do shit. Best of luck man, nasty stuff just remember someone always has it worse.

I've dealt with some pretty terrible anxiety and panic attacks on and off. I know how tough it is to deal with, but honestly one of the best tips I have from you is to not read/share about it online.

It's obviously different for everyone but I've found the less I think about it, the better I feel. This can be pretty hard especially if you obsess over certain thoughts or fears, but the short term payoff of relating to someone online just makes things worse in the long run for me. It's harder to forget and move past something if you're constantly looking into it. I wish the best to you and any other anxiety sufferers who read this, you can do it!!

I had terrible terrible panic attack's once in my life about 2 years ago I was smoking weed and all of sudden my heart started beating fast then slow then fast then slow I was going crazy went to the ER they told me it was anxiety... after that I had a rough couple of months because i refused to take any medication didn't wanna get addicted to anything... then about 1 month ago I smoked weed again got high controlled myself and I was fine.

It's all a mind game once you understand that fully anxiety is a thing of the past.

I had anxiety, and it was really bad. I felt as if I was going to die and I would start sweating. Now I didnt socially open it or anything but what I did was pray to God. I don't want to involve religion or anything but once I started to Pray I would forget about my anxiety. This method has helped me. I hope you get better to bro.
