This Needs To Be Discussed. Read.

So we know with Legacy coming back we read that jagex will allow pures to reset their defense to 1.


So i wanted to get some opinions on things.


99 attack 99 str 1 defense with turmoils+ vengeance

sounds op? There would be no way for them to disable this, it would be like going from runescape classic to rs2 with the map piece


I really think this could work and honestly

Can you provide a source for this? This sounds ridiculous.

 

sorry I can't prove it, you would have needed to vote for legacy, there was a detailed message saying,

"Pures will be able to roll back their defense"

Im sure other people have seen it as well, and its a huge discussion on the rs forums.

 

I think that would be way too OP and might get nerfed soon if Legacy gets voted.

 

Jagex would not be able to determine who is a pure. The term is so loosely thrown around as it is. I'm sure when word gets around, the feedback will be overwhelmingly in favor of removing that option.

 

You've slightly misunderstood this. It's not legacy mode that they have the option of resetting Defense levels back to 1. It's whether or not they decide to bring back the old 138 combat system that you have the option to do so. I'd say that they will make an interface pop up "Would you like to reset your Defense level? Yes or No." because Ghast is right they can't determine who was or wasn't so they offer it to everyone.

I think jagex understands the values of pures since eoc launched and they were wiped from history after 12 years of existing their game declined greatly. osrs proved how much pures can affect a game tbh

I think if they were to allow you to reset your defence to 1, the perks of added defence would be removed (turmoil, veng, ect..)

 

first of all u need 30 defence for both turmoil and vengence so dont

 

I've been thinking about this too, i'd love to see some kind of verification because me handcannon pure would be tank with 1 def.

 

Or jagex can just put defence requirements onto things to stop this happening hurrr durrrr....

OMG I HAVE VENG AS 1 DEF?? 40 def requirement to use spell. ERMERGERD 100% NO WAY JAGEX CAN DO THAT, THEY DON'T HAVE THE BRAIN POWER.

 

but if legacy still has the same weapon stats as eoc..then a lot of crap is still crap (as it currently is on eoc) so people migth not have awesome advantages afterall
