[.mkv->AppleTV/iTunes]Looking for video converter

Hey guys!
I'm in need of a video file converter which can output to .mov,.mp4 or .m4v (files supported by iTunes and Apple TV).

Freeware would be nice, however paying up to ~$20 is no biggy for me either. I just need it to be solid and supporting most available movie formats (.mkv, .avi and if possible the standard dvd rip folders)

Please hit me up with some links if possible

And yes, I bought an Apple TV, I don't care for your opinion on Apple products.

You won't find freeware that will convert MKV. The best you'll find is adware that converts the first 3-5 minutes of the video in the same amount of time that you'd expect it to convert THE ENTIRE video. Then it doesn't tell you that it only converted 3 minutes, and let's you figure out by yourself when you video cuts out 30 seconds after the opening credits, then demands that you buy their product for full results

The best software is xilisoft, and it's easily pirate-able if you're savvy enough (gettit?). If you pirate it, look for Xilisoft Ultimate.

xilisoft is basically the model price for those sort of softwares, you'll be hard pressed to find a cheaper solution that does more

lel np, I wasn't being critical btw in that last post, just stating that video conversion software has the biggest ripoff prices, next to photoshop or C4D/3DS Max. Xil is the fairest priced product I've found, even though you know I pirated dat shit.

 

So far converted 2 movies on the pirated copy, and was very satisfied with the results, except for some audio issues, but pretty sure that's just the file.
