My New Mining Setup (4,300 kh/s)

Hey guys thought i would share with you my new setup. We are going to be building 15 of these rigs so 75 total gpu's (adding a 5th card to all of them) and once we find a spot that has enough power to rent we will be adding a bunch more.

each rig will have the following

4x Gigabyte 270
1x 1000w GOLD coolmaster psu
1x 60gb ssd
4x riser cables
4gb ram

Total Cost $1400 (Per Rig)

Will Make about $30 a day not counting electricity costs

We plan on getting an air conditioner called a Movin Cool which will be a very nice addition but they are very expensive

UPDATE 3/3/14
We have now installed a 2nd breaker to handle just our rigs. we can now start ordering the 75 gpu's we are going to need. here are some pictures of the breaker install Please Note this was not made to be a permanent part of our basement, that is why we did it the way we did, after about 3 months we will be moving to our own building:

Question. Why are you timing your purchase of your GPU farm when scrypt asics are already out (gridseeds are sold in units of 10 for 11,900 rmb on their Chinese distributor site, which is about 3,000 kh/s for $1,800 @ 115w. Fibonacci is working on his 960 kh/s usb, 18 mh/s and 35 mh/s asics, as well as some various other companies.

That being said, great looking set up so far. Looking forward to seeing it when it is done.

 

That's so sick man very nice. I have the room for someting like this in my basement which I really wanna get into but it looks tooooo complicated for me. I would love to hear updates about this! Goodluck!

One of Scrypt's selling points is its anti asics, I'd imagine there will be updates to try and prevent them.
Also 3000 kh/s for $1,800 is very expensive, even when you cost in the reduced power cost. Graphics cards also have resell value.
Nice rig op, which pool/coin do you use?

 

new coins are always finding ways to block asics from mining them, pretty much all those are good for are LTC mining which i doubt i ever do

i will keep updating this thread its not super complicated to get into mining

yeah i actually tried to take them off since they didnt work haha, and it costs about 1800 per rig but that includes fans,risers, metal cases and eveything in between

thats actually a pretty good price, 3,000 kh/s on ebay can sell upwards of 3,000 lol

Yeah, I'm not having much luck finding ones that beat normal scrypt in profits constantly. Maxcoin was ridiculously profitable at launch.

For asic? Seems silly the only thing they have over gpu is electricity costs. GPU's are much cheaper, versatile and have resell value. I wasn't referring to your rigs being expensive if that's what you thought

so far this month we have made about $1000 (have the money in my bank) we still have coins we have not cashed out yet so we probably have made 1200-1300 this month

Heh not mining btc as the setup is for scrypt based coins. Aka the coins that try to prevent ASICS.

 

as someone who used to do electrical work, some of that wiring scares me lol.

 

it was made to be temporary, its all safe its just "scary" looking because the wires like that are usually behind walls so you never see them

 

What's the total amount you've invested and the total amount of bitcoins you've made? Looks really cool man!
