Things your like/dislike about your community

Everyone likes certain things about their community and there are always things that people dislike as well.

My town is reasonably small. We have no malls, no shopping centers, no Walmarts, or anything like that so it's a bit of a to-do to go out and grab something from Walmart or any other large business. (minimum of 25 minute drive to nearest area where we can do any amount of shopping. The only stores we have in town really are the groceries, some hardware store, a dollar store, and a few other small businesses.

My favorite thing about the town would be that we are a small community and we are the birthplace of hockey!

Whats your favorite, and least favorite thing about where you live now?

 

Favorite thing is probably how close places are to one another, there's at least 2 of everything within 10 minutes (with most places like stores, fast food joints).

Least favorite thing is you have to drive a bit to really enjoy the outdoors.

 

Favorite think is playing sports with friends, even in this temperature in NYC and storms, I love how we are like brothers

Least favorite thing has to be skool. Takes up half the day for me and I barely got time to play

 

Least favourite thing: Loads of little faggot kids thinking they are gods gift.

Most favourite thing: Lots to do!

 

fav: Uhhh hard one, nearby parties and easy transport.

It's small. It's a farm town. It's a nice area. It has nice people. It's really pretty.

It's invaded by citidiots every weekend. It's extremely expensive. It's a tourist hub. Pretty much if we could get the benefits of the idiots invading without them, it would be really nice.

 

like:

not much crime except certain areas, tons of cool music festivals, most people who live here are just hard workin blue collar folks, tons of diesel trucks (makes buying them easy, since there's always so many for sale), summers are beautiful and the river valley is kickass

dislike:

drunk homeless natives that inhabit the downtown area, the fuckin cold ass winters, the overall poor road conditions (potholes, potholes everywhere), the oilers sucking every year, that's really it

 

i live in a small rural city near montreal in Canada, and it really is lame. It is exactly like op stated, no malls, no nothing. hell I wouldn't be surprised if we lived in the same city, by his description. The only ups I have for my village is that it has a cool ice rink and tennis court, and their tim hortons has the hottest girls.

Favourite thing would be that, It's a nice place, so the majority of people there are friendly, and all the bars are within a 2 minute walk from each other.

Disadvantage would be that, I always see the same people around, there's never new faces when going out there.

dislike - no train station and buses never on time

 

Nothing. I hate my community. Full of old people.

 

Up and coming area, but still surrounded by some of the worst drug areas in the United States :/

 

Holland, not enough nature, in the woods you can always hear a nearby highway..also no mountains just very flat landscape. Good points are very lenient country regarding drugs.

 

Theres one major issue in this country and that is the government and how fucking greedy they are. They make other peoples lives miserable.

 

What I like: not much. I mean, I'm living next to the ocean which a lot of people seem to think is absolutely amazing, but you actually do get over the view. It's really boring here, and the block of land I'm on is incredibly thin due to "prime" real estate being expensive, so there's no room to even do much around my own home.

I want to move closer to my university, i.e. more inner Brisbane city. Brisbane isn't exactly the best city I've ever been to either, but I'd like it if I could get around to moving there.

 

Well a few negatives living in Canada...

-Alchohol and tobacco prices
-Lack of certain stores / major chains in my community (I want a taco bell.. :c)
