    Looks good so far to me, no point stopping at something half way through, better to have something finished and not amazing than to leave something half way and never know ;)

    The main figure looks great and has very nice color blending. The foreground and background are quite dynamic. PLEASE FINISH IT!

    You're right, I usually only use the standard circular photoshop brushes.

    The blitz is great. The background is horrid. Do a flat background with a shadow or somethinf unti you prefect backgrounds.
