Really Need Advice

You should check if that's a legit mail and if so try to knew the reason, they can't make you to leave your rented house without any reason. Maybe you should try to found another place to rent with the same price.

You should try to get an answer from the guy who rents the house and find another one that you can pay if you can't fix with that guy.

 

Look for a place to move. Look for rent signs and use craigslist. Find out what your budget is and move. You have plenty of time. This isnt as bad a deal as you are making it out to be.

 

Your Dad gets disability, there is 60 days til you have to leave. By then he will get paid, and you can find a place. Whether it be shitty or not, there are studio apartments for like a few hundred dollars a month. If you're in that much desperation, don't set your standards so high. Better to have a roof over your head, than the sky.

EDIT: Also, I live in the US. I'm not sure if it is the same for Canada, but in the US people get disability, food stamps, free medical and stuff like that when you are unemployed/disabled. You have a big family, so for every kid there is so much more disability money, and food stamps.

i dont live in canada but in the uk we have smoething called citizens advice they give free advice about laws and situations like yours maybe your country has something similar and if they do im shore they can offer you some good advice

 

Basically in the USA....

Theres something callled Landlord Tenant Court.

Where they have to have justifiable means for them to throw you out...Such as back rent, Destruction of property etc etc....

May i ask did your family sign a lease?

If so they cant be thrown out unless you guys breached it such as laundry machines added etc etc....However this is all usa stuff....
Cant be too much different.

 

In Canada they get free medical. In the USA, you get driven to the hospital once by the ambulance without insurance, and you're in financial ruin.

OT: Maybe it's not the landlord, but the guy is getting foreclosed upon by the bank? You really need to have more details if you want some real advice. Or maybe you should just let your parents handle it...

i'd find out if u guys had a lease first and see what it says. maybe the guy found someone who wanted to pay more or the guy wants to sell the house

 

it's weird they mailed you for no reason and now you have to leave? Do you have a contract stating the amount of time you'll be living in the house? They can't tell you to get off if they don't respect the contract, if they don't they're forced to pay a fee (maybe 3-5 rents) and give you more than 60 days ( at least in Brazil.)

 

Suggest you go somewhere cheap and nice and where you can settle fairly

 

this what im thinking. definitely attempt to contact your landlord, if your lease expired and maybe now the owner is looking to sell the property instead of renew the lease? idk.... keep us updated, this is very interesting to me
