What is there left?

A simple question for anyone to answer for me... I've not played RS in about two years, I've dabbled with it before EoC and even after. Haven't ever played it since. So I am just wondering what is there even to do for someone who has played the game since 2005????????

 

They are bringing back legacy (pre-eoc) mode, or you can play 07 if you don't like the way the game has changed.

 

A new skill called Divination came out. Basically like Runespan but slower exp rates

 

I know they trying to do the combat thing again which is why I'm interested in knowing this. But Divination seems dumb because it doesn't really do anything in normal gameplay... Every skill has some sort of influence but that one

 

Divination will go hand in hand with the new Inventor skill. The energies will presumably be used to create several inventions which will probably aid gameplay and combat significantly. High divination = better chance at inventor.

 

loads have changed takes abit of time to get used to but after time its really good fun

 

07 is pretty worthwhile to play. I can't say the same for EOC but legacy mode might be alright.

Even though the city won the poll, I'm pretty sure it was just what was to be worked on first, not one over the other in which was to be made. Just a guess though.

 

I'm more or less just waiting until they introduce legacy mode now to give it a shot. I understand the boredom I am experiencing as I've played the game since I was 10.... 9 years later I'm a bored college student lol.

I've tried RS07 and it was nice for a while, felt like the good old days (granted it resembles my 2nd year of play when I was neither a pro nor a noob haha).

Only issues I'm seeing with me playing it is that I know everything there is to know about it. I know all the areas and secrets, whats good to train on, what used to and still is a good profit. Even in my absence I've kept up with the updates.

The major downer is that no game gets me as interested as I was with RS

 

I'm similar to you, I quit in '08 - and just came back for 07. Anytime I log into RS3 I am confused, being a good player before.

 

EoC has too many features to truthfully describe in a single post.

For someone who hasn't played in a long time I guess the main thing for you to do is learn! They came out with the Revolution which is more like the combat system you know!

 

There's still lots do, it's almost like mastering a new game. Now weapons are stronger based on their levels to wield. This makes PvM a lot more interesting and to use abilities. Since there's new bosses I'd recommend doing KK and if you're acc's good enough Vorago.

 

Just play around with it! I'm sure you'll get back into it! I just restarted after a couple of years away, and it did take me a while to get used to it and in truth there's some stuff I don't like, but there's also tons of other new content which is really great!

I really miss runescape being just one instead of being split from old RS to ECO. Jaggex
could of just added the graphics and combat animation and kept the old combat. Im not completely hating EOC because some Change is good.

 

Its very sad in the fact that almost nobody plays the game anymore... I remember when every world up to 30 was full. Granted we had some bots but majority were real people. Now, I can get into world 2 instantly and it feels barren in most cases. I think that's what killed it for me.

 

RS3 feels somewhat dead. I only log in once in a blue moon to mourn over my pure that's currently rotting. I dislike it - I'm quite lost when it comes to basic functions - even teleporting.

Old school runescape is quite fun and I'd highly recommend it.
