Cant focus on one champ?

So im looking to main a couple champs for each role, but after a couple games with them (all except riven) i start to get bored and feel a need for change..

Tips/help?

 

Keep rotating. It keeps the game fun. I have a pool of like 7-9 champions per role that I like to play, except for support and ADC where it's too overpowered too much toward "the holy trinity" (Jinx, Lucian, Sivir/Leona, Thresh, Annie).

 

I main ADC but also play support, and totally agree with you, very small range of champions which I play because all of the other ones aren't "good enough" except for Caitlyn, but I've been bad with her lately.

 

I have loads of fun and success at AD, and Jinx is really the only one out of that "trinity" I play any of. Draven's a powerhouse, Varus is a forgotten mid-to-late game beast (and he's not so shabby early, either), and Vayne still has her niche games, among others.

I'd just advise you to play the field of viable champions, see what you enjoy the most, then stick to the ones you're finding success on.

 

Try every champs in the game?

Look what you like about riven and try and find other champs that have similar attributes.

Also if you like the way rivens skills are activated by the click of a key ( QWER ) you might want to try turning on smart cast and trying other champs, makes some champions more fun.

 

Play more champions, I don't see the point in getting to challenger or w.e with just 1 champion, many people do it, Annie Bot for example, but he admits mechanicaly he's utter trash with near enough any other champion in the game.

Atleast get your self a small pool of people you can play comfortably, but also if riven is working for you, then play riven, when u get bored, play another game for a while, dfon't go playing champsd you're bad with and lose LP for no reason, or go play normals between to improve your mechanical skill with other champs.

 

It's best if you get tired. It helps with counter play

When it comes to adc'ing, there isn't a "holy trinity". Cait's range makes her viable, regardless of how underpower her skills might be; draven is still a powerhouse (by my experience, I'd say he's sivir's hardest counter), mf can be a pain early on if played carefully.

Play with more champions and try different game mods Heraklion came out so you can use your best champion to actually get a hexkill

 

Yeah I guess I agree somewhat about the ADC role; it might fare a little more balanced with the ADCs. Still, over half the games I see have Sivir or Lucian. Clearly something is going right there. >_<

And Draven's only weakness is the player's ability to use his spinning axes right. I don't see him much because the other ADCs are much more forgiving in terms of micromanagement. ADC is already a hard micro-oriented role with positioning and attack-moving; adding in Draven's axes means only the elites can really play him to his potential.

 

Problem is, i WANT to only play that one champ in the role. I own every champion and tbh the only ones that appease me are

Riven/Shyvana top/mid | fizz mid hate dis role] | kha/lee jungle | vayne/lucian adc | thresh/leo support

Played them all, and am doing, but would rather stick to a small amount of champions per role as to improve my mechanics highly with them (riven eg)

Prefer not to expand my champ pool too much, as i feel like getting mechanically better on a small number will be much better for me to climb elo. Sure i can play like 4-5 champs per role, but am most comfortable on 1-2 .

 

I normally spam the hell out of a champ before getting bored of it. Like you, I had a riven phase.

 

If you wanna start with the best of the best...

The holy trinity of each lane:
Top: trundle, Shyvanna, renekton
Mid: gragas, ziggs, kayle
Adc: jinx, Lucian, sivir
Support: leona, thresh, annie
Jungle: wukong, elise, vi


These are just the three "god tier" in each role. Their specific fits in the "meta" are strong. In low level play, the name of thr champ means jack... I can probably play Ashe mid in a bronze game and still win. Therefore, i restate... Play your favorite and what is fun. Lane counters only matter when people aren't retarded, meaning only in diamond.

 

If you get bored then just do whatever makes you feel like playing again, no point trying to main only a few champions if its going to be boring for you. it's a video game after all. Recently I have been playing a-z champions which I am enjoying.

if you can't have fun I see no point in playing.

Guys. I dont need tips on what champions are god-tier / who to play / who is like riven etc.. I already know all of this

My question is, how can i focus on one champion, what makes it fun for you?

 

Winning, stomping, and more winning.

It also feels good to know I can outduel others knowing that I am mechanically sound with said champ, which gives me full confidence when trading, fighting, and going all in. Obviously when playing verse people who are equally skilled as you, you may lose said trades and fights purely based on the champ.

 

Try new positions with new champions
