That doesn't make any sense at all. Why would "I" be the only 1 letter/number account to be glitched? its literally the only original 1 letter that remains unknown. Like even the people who have 1 letter displays, someone owned it before them. I is like one of Runescapes biggest mysteries. Its so unique lol.

It could even be banned. Who knows. This happened with accounts like "J" and "0", when they were recovered(for those of who don't know there was a "glitch" for lack of better words to get rare names/accounts etc, they were called "Recoverers")

But when "I" comes into the game its the last letter to be seen in game and have any history. A cool fact though, there is a guy (can't remember his name anymore) he had a big collection of photos from early rs on, and it showed J logged in on the logged in players list on the original page back then.

Can anyone think of any other names as mysterious as "I"?

Also as far as Ric owning anything he is full of shit. He lied about so much shit and was proven a liar on several occassions when someone recovered something he claimed to own, and it hadn't been logged in since runescape classic etc. Don't even listen to that skid lolol

 

There's something that's mysterious as you said about "I" leading to the glitched account theory. Cause if every other one letter/number was recovered, as all of them were, why wasn't I? Could be banned like you said, but even then a ban could be lifted unless it's terribly serve. I've heard rumors of one of the old recoverers getting it and not being to log in, but then again that's a rumor. I would imagine if it was a fresh account that could be logged on it would have been recovered at least once back in the day.

After the releasing of names a lot of them aren't much of a mystery, especially when all the other one number/letters have been seen.

Because it took until 2011 for every one to be recovered, at which point they "fixed" the system making random recoveries harder. Why wasn't J or G (the most recent 1 letters to show their face) recovered prior to 2011? It comes down to luck. The system is completely random tbh. If anyone had gotten it they would have had a tracking number for proof. People lied about what they recovered all the time. EX) Becky trying to say she had "L" when Jet leaked the password. Then mitch scammed her and she was like walking around varrock flaunting that she had recovered L and shit. And got called the fuck out on it. People like to stroke their e-peen when it comes to RS names even though like 75% of the time they are lying about it.

Even prior to name deletion, The names that arguably are the rarest EX) God, Runescape, etc. had been accounted for. I is truely unique and undoubtedly will make an appearance at some point (whether its the original account or not)

 

Only to somebody who understands the stories behind 1 character names, will "I" mean anything. For the majority of people who play it's not going to be any different than H or K for instance.

 

Yeah the people who don't know the history behind it. Its kind of like how the earth is now... we've explored everything (except the sea) and we know pretty much everything there is to know about it. Rare names are at that point imo except for "I"... There used to be a lot of discussion between all of us recoverers about "i", including a couple of us who got some 1 letters. When G and J were spoken for, I was the last one standing... So many people tried to get it when it was the last one. For whatever reason the system just didn't want to unlock it.

The guy who got G was just trying all of the 1 letters/numbers, I believe he got B, G, 6, first try on G and it took like 3 tries for 6. (and he gave B away to a friend)
The guy who got J just tried like all the 1 letters over and over.

There is no logic to the system, why would "G" unlock for this particular person after only one try?
There were no secrets to recovering, it was all purely luck

I doubt they have fixed the system entirely, it wouldn't hurt to put in an appeal for "i"

 

A friend of mine has just made me aware of a new tool for username information gathering. If you join the Runescape FC "Chat" there will be a variety of wise players in there that can answer your requests right away. It may be a good idea for a faster and second opinion if you aren't getting enough information here. Aside from using it as a tool, he asked me to welcome all members to chat freely and socialize.

I strongly advise users to use this, but to report new findings on the thread so we can keep ourselves as "up to date" as possible. I think that this tool could help us collect even more information and bring the thread to new heights.

He has indicated that "Chat" is strictly for social purposes, NOT for buying and selling anything

 

The thing about "I" is so creepy. I've heard it has been locked or banned but not sure which would be true, "0" is banned that's for certain... but "I" is just a creepy mystery.
It has never logged in, NOBODY of the rare name guys, has claimed to owner, there has never been a so-called owner of "I" tbh. It has never logged in or been seen anywhere. If it had been banned, wouldn't it have been deleted from game like A was? and if it was inactive, why haven't they released it like they did to "1" ? o.o

It's so eerie.. this ONE 1 letter that NOBODY knows for certain anything about.

I know everything about "87" tho, it was like "I". inactive since beginning of time until released in early-mid 2010 but I was never released at any point, unlike 87.

 

It's locked, but that doesn't mean anything. It just means a lot of appeals were put in for it, so therefore it was locked. J was locked too. J was banned as well, and wasn't deleted from the account until the inactive display name reset when the current owner got it. A was banned for RWT, but last I knew it wasn't completely deleted from the game (like 6, p, g, etc)

 

This just sounds like a watered down version of "1". 1 fc is literally this (or used to be)
