Personal Progress Thread (Suggestions Welcome)

Just to note: If you have a hella dive-oriented team composition with a lot of AOE damage, Alistar fits in with that team so fucking nicely. The perfect team for Alistar (in my opinion) would be something like:

Sivir ADC
Ziggs or Gragas Mid
Amumu jungle
most of the tanky top laners work well

All of those champions synergize well with an aggressive tower dive based team. However, this is really Alistar's only opportunity to not suck.

The one piece of advice I have to give you is just that you need to learn to farm. Your CS really is extremely low (although in Bronze I'd assume it stacks up pretty well).

If I play a game in low ELO, I may make a dumb mistake and, say, tower dive a little too deep and give up first blood to their top laner. But then I'll press tab and see that I've got 90 CS in 10-11 minutes, and they literally have 30-40 (which seems to be the range you're in). So despite the stupid death, I'm sitting on a solid 600-700+ gold lead, first blood included in their tally. You should go in customs, go in normals - hell, go in rankeds, and learn to farm with a variety of champions. I'd recommend either finding someone who needs to do the same and 1v1'ing or finding someone who's willing to play a disengage support in duo queue so you can tunnel vision CS while you practice.

 

I've played 6 games with Akali so far, 1 extremely stupid loss due to trolls off school but I'm not too mad, just eager to get out of low elo. My farm seems to be over 100 each game, which was a mini goal of mine and leads to improvement, my next cs goal is to get 100 by 15 minutes. But compared to a diamond game where first blood isnt until like 10 minutes, first blood is usually about 2 minutes in in my games, and the game ends with at least 60 kills from the winning team, so there's more fighting than laning. What do

 

In the vast majority of my games in mid-to-high diamond MMR, first blood happens between probably 2:00-5:00. It's either bot lane or a strong jungler's first gank. To keep your farm up in a busy game, you just need to be good at rotating between lanes at the right times.

 

I was basing what I said off of a few streams I've watched, either way I played a game where first blood ended up being my team mate dying at around 40 seconds in.. that really shouldn't be happening. And I get games that last about 50 minutes with up to 70 kills/deaths for a team.

I've finally had my first and second akali loss, I might take a break from her and from ranked until I feel confident again and look into what I was doing wrong, it is only a game after all but I just dont see the point in losing constantly.

I need to learn to carry trolls and people who have bad games, but I don't know how, I seem to either get a lot of kills and then end with a lot of deaths, or start with a lot of deaths and end with around an equal amount of kills, I really need to learn how to play akali properly, considering I've only played her not even 10 times I wouldn't say I'm terrible.

tl;dr I suck.

Also, does anyone have some good akali builds? Mainly AP, I usually get about 200 - 300 AP but I want more to get that burst damage, but I usually just get GA but I'm debating stopping that habit because I just die straight after anyway.

Nice winrate with Akali. From what i can see, your worst performing game was the Sivir game and your build explains a lot...

Don't ever build crit or attack speed FIRST on an ADC. Dont even finish your boots until you have over 120 AD. It's just a recipe for disaster. You'll lose every trade and eventually lose the ability to farm. Statkik Shiv is a misleading item because the gold generation usually never pays for itself. Without a bloodthirster or infinity edge rush (or triforce for lucian and ezreal) you're guaranteed to lose the option of farming and trading.

Do your best to farm to 1550 for a BF sword. In today's meta, whoever buys the first BF sword wins the lane. This is especially true for Sivir because her bounces and her boomerang don't apply critical damage nor are they empowered by attack speed; the only way to increase their damage is with more AD.

 

Oh and try a DFG on akali. It helps your early snowball so hard.

 

I don't plan on playing sivir, yasuo or riven anymore. I'm cutting them out whilst I main akali until I inevitably go on a tilt and cry on the inside. I don't feel like I have the skills to do well with them. And I don't enjoy them, along with alistar, can I ask you do you think it's worth dodging if you have to play something you're really bad at? I don't have any other accounts that are 30 so it's not like I can just play ranked on a different account after a dodge.
