Stay Maxed Pure or Go Maxed Main?

I'm currently a maxed dds pure (60 att, 99 str, 1 def, 44 pray, 99 mage, 99 range, 95 hp, level 81 combat) but I'm trying to decide whether to go main or not. I just watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vj1smxpyS4 and had some great nostalgia from the pre-eoc briding days, I really miss that. But if I do go main the pure will basically just go to waste because I could have saved my ass so much time and money if I had gotten the 99s I have right now with defence. And also, there are a shitload of quests I need to do for barrows gloves and stuff, which sucks ass cuz I used to get my friends to do it for me but they don't play anymore. I'm kind of on the fence on this, would really appreciate some of your thoughts/comments :nuts: :'( :love: :embar: :laugh:

 

have u ever staked? you got a good build for it, and maybe you could try becoming a zerker or a barrows pure for a bit on your way to a maxed main

 

I've staked but it doesn't ever end up well because I go big or go home. Used to do partyhat stakes pre-eoc so I get impatient when I look at the 1-5mil stakes i do now. Also, it takes so damn long for someone to stake me, and when they do they always want me to double even if they are a couple combat level higher than me. I guess I can give zerker a go, barrows pure was also really fun.

 

ohh true about the staking, i went from a pure>zerker>barrows pure and i like staying as a barrows pure, goodluck with your account!

 

Right now at the current state of 07, I feel that going maxed will be more fun for pking. Its true that u have spent a lot of time on the pure but I think its worth it at this point in time.

 

Personally I'd say go up through the builds and stay at any of them you really enjoy for as long as you like.

Go:

20 Defence (with adamant gloves, etc.)
40/45 Defence (with lunar, aim for b gloves, etc.)
70 Defence
Then max out

That way you're in a great situation because it breaks up the questing and if you really enjoy one of the builds just stay on that.

 

That's a good idea, yea I might do that. I guess I'll just get 99 attack right now just to get it out of the way and start playing around with my defence

 

I'd go main, there are so much more things you can do at a higher defence level, PVM, Slayer(doable on a pure but much harder), Pking is more worth your time, better loots etc, wider range of quests, and so much more.

 

i would go main, dude. I love mains, it's when you can actually enjoy the game RuneScape really is.

 

id say main

 

go through the builds, join a 1def clan and get 99 hp etc first off if your interested in that.

 

Stay pure, build a max main on a seperate account.

 

Going main opens up more for PvMing

 

Unless you're gonna do it properly with barrows gloves n everything then don't bother.

PvM on 07 is trashy so don't do it just for that either.

 

If I was a maxed pure i'd probably stay, or at best go zerker.

 

Making main is pointless unless u want to pvm.

 

I really like this idea. I would go with this, that way you get to experience just about all of the types of pures on the way up and would break it up significantly.

 

Have you had other defence varied accounts before? What do you prefer? My opinion would be to max out. Efficient PvM, more active Pking, and easier to find stakes.
