Can I trade a blue party hat from a noob account?

I do apologise in advance if this is not the best place to formulate such question.

I have two accounts in Runescape: a main account from 2002 and a noob account I just created a month ago. I haven't been playing the game since 2007 and I feel that everything has changed two or three times.

Few weeks ago I did transfer a Santa's hat from my main account to the noob account and everything was fine, but when trading that Santa's hat from my noob to another player I had some issues. The other player had to give me some sort of disk of returning (?) in order to trade him the Santa's. I do not fully remember the process but it seems that new accounts have some limitations when trading items. After doing the disk of returning stuff it was ok and I could trade him the Santa but it was kind of weird.

Now I am trying to trade my blue party hat (currently on my main account) and I wonder whether I could just transfer it to my noob account as I did for the Santa's. I wonder if I could have bigger issues now because the phat is way more expensive than the Santa's. Is is "safe" to transfer the blue party hat to my noob and trade the phat from the noob? I guess I will do need to do the disk of returning stuff again? Does anyone have a link that clarifies the process? Thank you in advance!

I've never heard of anything like that happening, worst case scenario just purchase a one time membership for the noob account and you'll be able to trade without restriction.

 

I can try to explain. Jagex implemented a 25k trade limit on all new f2p accounts. That means that your noob account can receive items of any value, but cannot trade them (except through the Grand Exchange) unless it becomes a member. So your best bet if you want to transfer the phat to your noob and then trade it would be to buy a bond or a 1 month membership for your noob account. This will eliminate the 25k trade limit EVEN IF YOU CANCEL THE MEMBERSHIP.

Tl;DR You can transfer the phat to your noob, but you have to get membership if you want to trade it to someone else.

I am not sure if that's entirely true because I managed to trade the Santa's from my noob account. However, the player to whom I traded gave me first some disk of returning, or bond or whatever. I don't remember the name but it was like a circle. I think it cost him about 1M but I managed to trade the Santa to him.

I would look into the membership but I do not want to give any credit card number or any personal data to them.

Although I prefer not, I guess I still could do the trade from my main. It is a free account (never been member) but it seems I do not have restrictions.

 

If he traded you the disk of returning, the value of the disk more than cancels out the value of the santa hat, which is why you were able to trade. As for membership, you can avoid giving them your info by buying a bond in game. Bonds are only about 6-7m and give you 14 days of membership. This will remove the trade limit on your noob.

The reason your main doesnt have a trade limit is because the account was made well before Jagex implemented the trade limit.

Unfortunately I cannot afford buying a bond in game, not even with my main account (having 6M in 2004 would be something insane but nowadays it seems nothing). I guess it would work if the person to whom I trade the phat would give me the bond first but I guess the most straightforward thing would be to use my main.

I would be very careful about this, becuase if jagex looks at your trade logs, it will look pretty suspicious, so i suggest when trading it put something else in the trade, add a disk of returning and something else to make it not look weird, if they think it's weird activity they will probably ban the account thinking it's gold farming. On the other hand I am pretty sure I will not start playing the game (don't have the time) so I might just use my main to do the trade as it feels the easiest. It would be nice to keep my account as a sentimental value (many years playing) but in the unfortunate event of getting banned it would not be the end of the world

 

Your noob account can't trade because of the limit it has. To cancel it u gotta make it mems buy buying a bond which will be the best possible option to me. However trading a blue phat straight to a noob account can be extremely risky as jagex might see it as Rwt which in that case u will prob get perm banned and just lose everything.

 

The disk of returning is worth 200m+ not 1m lmao

 

easiest way around it, mutli log.... then just stake it over?

 

I would use any method but drop trading it and trading it over, maybe stake it over or something, so it don't look suspicious
