Laptop Recommendations?

I'm going away to another country for a week and I want to have a fancy new laptop to bring there, so does anyone have any recommendations for a laptop to get? I'm looking for something with somewhat decent specs, but doesn't have to be a powerhouse, because I already have a powerhouse laptop.

No friggin' way. This laptop has similar specs to that and this laptop is old, as well as less than half the price when I bought it. That's the one time I'd rather buy a MacBook. Don't get me wrong, I still love Razer.

That being said, ~$1,000 limit.

 

What will you be using it for? Just general internet browsing?

 

It's likely that this will be my carry-around everywhere laptop so I want it to be able to do things, but I already have a laptop that's powerful but yeah I'd say general browsing, movies, maybe enough power to at least run LoL (which isn't much).

 

By the way, eff you... I didn't mention this earlier but when I saw you could get that for $999 if you are an Indie dev it made me give up my search lol and I went to trying to find a decent way to meet up with an Indie dev who'd let me hop on dat.

 

I got a pretty nice dell for like $600, its fast and i was running 3+ osrs bots while watching videos on youtube and had like facebook and other websites up. its all about the processor for me

My experience with Dell hasn't been that great, though. The only reason I like it is because I know I can get Dell items for a cheap price.

I remember wanting those back in 2009 or something; I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger, although I ended up buying a chunky laptop in the future. Although I don't need something THAT powerful, I still want that Blade Pro for $999. Someone go become an indie game developer for me.

Again, screw you Heads for making me sad knowing there's a laptop for $999 that I cannot get.

This. Awful Chrome OS I haven't heard good things about. The only way I'd get the laptop is if there was Windows 7 or even 8 on it, because it'd be a nice computer to have with 3G/4G service.
