Palm Mice start Deathadder 2013 edition vs Black Edition

    Hey everyone,

I know this is going to be a rather unique discussion. I have been in search for a palm-resting mouse that does is nice and smooth in games. I have been reading reviews on the deathadder and a lot of people saying that the 2013 model has an IR sensor in it...

However, when you go to their website it lists the Deathadder 2013 as being a "4G Optical Sensor". Now, when you compare that with the Deathadder black edition, it lists this one as a 3.5G infrared sensor. I know this seems to be a rather odd statement, but from the research an IR sensor is the optimal type of sensor (over optical and laser).

Can someone confirm that the 2013 model has an IR sensor for me and how efficient it is over the black edition sensor?

The next subject is going to be mouse trigger sensitivity. Since I tend to rest my fingers on the lmb and rmb, I have an occasional ghost trigger. How is this mouse compared to others you've used? Are they noticeably softer or about the same trigger actuation?

Finally, I run a G500 which is about the same length as the deathadder, but I'm finding I'm using it in a "claw" grip style.

Now let me explain why this is all coming about - I use my mouse so frequently at this point that I'm wearing the pinky-side ball joint above my wrist (to a point where it's getting painful). So I was hoping for a mouse that will force me to raise my wrist off the table (and I'm not going to use a wrist wrest).

If you have any (constructive) thoughts on this, feel free to chime in. :)
