Giving Miniranks to Donators.

I agree, there's really no need to complicate this. It should just simply be added as a donor perk and have no more thought given to it... If you must complicate what sypherz has suggested, completed any ticket that a user had earned FOR FREE, not those that are paid for.

 

I support this idea. I think it would definitely increase activity and probably more people will donate

 

Support, I think this is a great idea actually and would make people join competitions in the sand box.

 

If there were mineranks and such I would totally start donating more and participating in the sandbox. I actually enjoy some of the miniranks. I think there should also be a trading system, for instance. How unique has the rupee minrank(which I really want), I could maybe trade him my tickets for it? Just a thought.
However, completely support this as I would donate more if this happened.

support but add a max amount of achiaveble( idfk how to spell it) miniranks, so we can't earn 20 minranks by this way.

 

Great suggestion. Something simple like this would definitely help with both donations and activity. Maybe you could work it so that every 'x' posts you earn a spin/chance for a minirank.

I suggested something similar to this on Moh's pokemon game thread. Just have it so you have a chance of receiving a random minirank everytime you post in areas that give post count. Make the chances like 1/250. If they spam, report their posts. Free modscore and everyone is happy.

 

I'd prefer we stay on topic regarding donations and a ticket system. Feel free to create a thread using your suggestion.

 

Why only NEW donators? Old donators should be able to have their stack of tickets also. As they may feel sort of 'scammed' out of them otherwise.

 

I figured this would come up. Personally I believe that giving current donators a ticket for each $x they have donated might flood the system and devalue miniranks, but I am not a donor and understand how some people may feel jipped. I agree that current donators should receive some sort of compensation but, if the suggestion is suggested, it is at Matthew's discretion.

 

I was only trying to emend your suggestion. Asking for too much will get you very little.

 

The only problem with this is that you would have to make the miniranks untradable because you can sell miniranks on the market. Some miniranks go for about $15. So when you donate $5 and you receive a minirank. You can earn little more than double of the $5 you donated.

 

Why make them untradable? Defeats the purpose for people who donate at an attempt to get a minirank that they can sell for higher amount than they donated for. It's like the lottery, and just like the lottery, it won't be easy.

I like the idea.. if anyone is wanting a way for free tickets for this, instead of post count you could do so many referals to sythe or something earns a free ticket, or do the $25 donation..

 

I like this idea, a lot. Was planning on donating in a few days anyway, It would encourage me a lot more if I was going to get something out of the donation, even if the miniranks obtained through this are untradeable.
