it's quicker to answer a question you know than google it, so those that know the answers should have the answer first.. if nobody knows it then by all means fastest google first

This be true, matey! Well whatever no reason in not doing it and at least giving it a shot. The fact that it's going to me on an IM client makes me cringe for those people who will spam answers one by one or spam a list of answers.

 

I'd hate to take away from whatever activity SytheChat could get, but if you did it over skype (or tinychat), you could start a call and have everyone use manycam or a similar program that can stream their desktop. That way, you can monitor who tries to cheat by googling. Sure, someone could use a second computer or their phone, but using a phone takes much longer, and having a second computer is impractical.
