First off, I'm not against gay people.

Second; I am not gay, so I just wanted to ask, because I was wondering if coloring my hair light brown...or blonde highlights would be consider gay?

At the moment I have jet black hair.

    Cheers

If you're not against gay people then why is looking gay bad? Do all gays have highlights? Le sigh.

Don't choose what to get based on what people expect of you or what's not "gay", God. Be your own person and have your own look, if people don't like it then fuck 'em.

Highlights in general are considered fruity on a guy, so the general consensus would be "lulz gay." Personally, I don't care. Everyone else can do their own thing, it isn't any of my business. If I ever wanted highlights, I'd get highlights. If you already have a gf it would help with the people who don't know how to handle people who are different.

To be honest nobody (not even gays) get highlights around here.

If you don't want to stand out like you think you are going to and always be self conscious (spotlight effect) then don't get it
To be honest nobody would really give a fuck. Everyone is too preoccupied with their own lives.

Not at all. Basically, this would be just another insignificant stereotype that seems to be recent.

Whatever Roary typed is what I was going to say. Just be yourself and don't worry what people think. I know if I went what with my friends or family said and not have grown my hair out or gotten my ears stretched, I'd never be expressing myself. Just think about it and if you really want to do it, what the hell go for it.

For the record, I have had highlights/perms from blonde to green since I was a youngster.
