    okay sythe here we go.

i am 18 years old 19 birthday coming up soon. when i was 10 i was diagnosed with a sometimes fatal nerve condition called CMT. ive have had 11 surgeries to prevent my feet from being permanently disfigured. and as of january the pain in my lower half of my body has move its way up to my hands. my life long dream was to be a graphic deisign artist. but i am faced with this fact. my body cant do it. thing is i'm two semesters into my liberal arts degree. i'm very sad that i am in a hole with my education.

second. i am a victum of sexual abuse, from when i was a kid. and i have severe post tramatic stress disorder. panic attacks. this has also caused an on set of schitzo active disorder. (when im having a PTSD episode i hallciunate). this has always been the biggest struggle in my life. im been imitted into 2 diffent mental hospitals for attemped suicide back when i was 15. i have scars to prove it.

third. i have a girlfreind and things are great. but ive always been insterested in men. as i call it im like 99% gay and like 1% my girlfriend (only girl ever that ive liked). being in a mormon household and being bisexual is very hard. they have shunned me like a plauge and force me to go to church. i really wish they would see it from my eyes.

thanks sythe for letting me vent.

ps id just like to let people know, i love you all.

    :*

If you're not searching for advice, there isn't much purpose of creating this thread. Sure other people are aware of your problems, but then what? You might as well vent your problems into a notepad, later to close it and never open it again, not expecting any helpful feedback.

By all means, don't mistake my confusion for unpleasantness.

Do whatever you feel is best. Try not to worry so much about what other people think. As long as you feel whatever you're doing with your life is right that's all that matters. Quite a bit of people end up getting liberal arts degrees as you're doing, which cover a range of different professions and end up just fine.

I'll take a stab at this.

1.) Patients Like Me is a forum where you can connect to patients with similar or identical health issues, and seek help/friendship. I hope you find it, and forums similar to it, to be helpful and eye-opening that in most medical situations, you are not alone. In addition, what type of strain on your career as a graphic artist does your condition inflict? I'm curious.

2.) Suicide is never the answer - it is falsified as an "easy way out".. but it never is. Life is precious, sometimes it takes us a little while to figure out why it's precious to each of us personally. Many feelings emerge as a result of sexual abuse, and After Silence is an online community that aims to help victims of Rape, sexual abuse, sexual assault, molestation, incest, and so on.

3.) Although I do not agree with your parents forcing their beliefs on you - they are still your parents, and it appears they have unquestionable devotion in their faith. I'm sorry that they put you down for your sexual preferences, but once again, you are not alone. There are an unknown amount of homosexual, bisexual, transvestites, drag queens, etc. that have parents/family that shuns (and does a lot worse to) them for their lifestyles. Understand that some things that you may see as normal may be completely shocking to others. *shrugs* Love your girlfriend. Admire men. It's up to you - after all, it's your life :noworry: !

Hope I've been of some help, if any at all.
