Have you ever quit a job?

What reasons did you have to quit, and did they take it well?

The only job I've ever quit was a market research job where I was a call center agent calling the public conducting surveys. I hated the job and had little to no interest in it. Money at that point wasn't very tight so I didn't need the job so I quit.

I worked at a pretty big retailer that is similar to sams club for about 1 year. I was in their government program where I can go to school and be guaranteed a job once the semester is over, until school is back in session. Well I made the foolish mistake of graduating from college and not enrolling in university, as I needed time to think about my future. I figured I'd be able to apply part time instead of the gov' program. This wasn't the case, there were zero open spots available, and since I could not show any proof of me going to school, I was asked by my boss to ''quit'' and re apply in the summertime. He literally even ticked off the ''quit'' box for me, which was right beside the ''fired'' box.

Worked at Wendy's for a year a month , management was shit and so were the raises.. i didn't have another job lined up though so i was out of a job for about two months, which sucked because i hate not having money... i got a job as a paper inserter at our local newspaper but its overnight shifts and it sucks, i just need income to pay rent. Looking for other jobs atm but no good ones are catching my eye :(

Have you ever quit a job?

Thinking about putting in my two weeks at the place I currently work at. I've been there for almost 2 years, and over the summer I'm going to make more money for college. I've done so much for them and Only have had one right up which wasn't completely my fault (the medication i was on [to help my opiate dependence my body needed from being in the hospital] was out and I was really edgy and snapped and quit) came back and explained it to our GM who was the one I snapped on and he understood, in the write up it explains exactly what happened.

But I've had like 5 friends quit (two week notice) and used them as a reference and I know the GM hated one of them, but still talked him up on a reference call. I love where i work, but not the pay.

Yeaaa when I was 16 I worked at Cousins Paintball as a ref. The job was actually pretty sweet...free air, random paintball gear and paint was always left behind by consumers or lost out in the fields. Free admission when me and my friends went ourselves.

Butttt I quit because it was just a little too far for me to travel after school and on the weekends (about a 25 minute drive)...It really wasn't far, but when your mom has to drop you off and pick you up its pretty lame lol.

Edit: They didn't take it bad, the way their employees came and went was like a revolving door.

Have you ever quit a job?

Ive quit atleast 7-8 ,but probably not in the context you may be thinking. Working construction for a company goes like this. A company wants something built, they then hire a general contractor who THEN hires your company. It leaves you with way too many cheifs and not enough indians for the most part, everyone thinks they are in charge and theres a lot of rude people on power trips. I have often spoke out against these self entitled pricks in exchange for THAT "job". Good thing the company I work for has multiple jobsites. Ive been "runoff" even more hahaha.

I also quit at a dollar general when i was 15 or 16.
Quit washing windows on highrises because im a puss.

My main reason for quitting was people problems (I have a real issue with being treated like shit.) And money, sometimes something better comes up. Im careful to burn no bridges for the most part.

I worked as a lifeguard at a leisure centre. I got treated like the bitch boy of all the superior staff; basically ended up cleaning and unpacking deliveries. So I lasted a couple months before I left. I assume they employed a new slave lifeguard because I didn't hear anything else from them.

Have you ever quit a job?

I applied for several jobs when I moved to my university. I got an interview and accepted a job working in disabilities services, turning text books into braille. It was dull work, we were discouraged from talking to the other workers in the lab, and encouraged to wear headphones and listen to music. It was basically the most antisocial and stuffy work environment I've ever experienced, and my work history didn't prepare me for that. So, I quit two weeks later and went with my current job, where I'm now working in the library, answering questions, helping with research, and socializing with the students. It was definitely a step up, by far.

The reasons I gave for leaving was a more suited job, better pay (3 dollars/hour better), and more flexible hours. They were annoyed that I left so soon after getting situated, but idc. I won't be using them as a reference anyway.

I worked at wendys in particular and it was F U C K I N G terrible. Never working in a fast food place again. First of all the workers are usually low life ignorant losers and the pay is absolute shit. I'd rather off myself then working at a fast food place again.

Used to work for Morrisons supermarket.. Boss was a faggot, got a new job and told him to fuck off.. Wasn't the best idea. I was young and just fed up. But, at least I had a much better paid job lined up I waltz right into, and lasted 4 months before getting made redundant..

No, I instead abused sick days and eventually got sacked. I hated the job so much.

I've never "quit" a job, however I've been lazy at times and not given full effort before.
