    What happened to the site getting upgraded to vb4?

    I assume there must have been complications with it being compatible with the functions of the site.

    Was really looking forward to this, until I got banned and nothing happened. Is there a possibility of it ever happening?

    It turned out to not be worth it, amongst security and compatibility issues, Sythe and Matthew don't have enough time to work on it right now.

    Atleast that's what I can remember.

    Oh, that sucks.

    I know vb 3 is more stable, but 4 would be great for a market, and it's updates can sustain the things users want. Well, whatever is best for the site I guess.

    There's too much custom programmed shit that matthew made himself that would break with a vb4 update, or so the story goes.

    Since most people are content with this setup, it'll probably stay this way forever

    I forgot that IP Board was an option. That would be better than both versions imo.

    I like vBulletin a lot more than IPB honestly. I'd hate to see us change (not that it's likely.)

    Why upgrade when all this customization to VB3 has been done over the last year or so?
    tbh if the MOBILE THEME finally gets made, and the other themes are fixed to not be so useless/removed completely there is nothing wrong with Sythe.
    Literally everything can be customized with a little patience, so what's the need for a new forum version?
