How to get a revenge if you ever got scammed

This thread is helpful for people who buy Steam accounts.

Why did I made this thread?
Well, I just want to help someone if they ever bought an account and then the person who sold it to them took it back by contacting Steam Support.

Again, this thread is helpful for people who buys Steam accounts with large amount of games, badges, profile XP and etc. You might also be thinking that the person who sells it will fool you but what I can help you is, you can also take a chargeback from him and also you can get his account permanently restricted.

    1. For example, some guy was selling an account that has shitloads of games. You wanted it so bad so you made a deal with him and had the account.

*NOTE: For the guy who made the thread that I used, please don't be offended. I only used it for this purpose.

    2. If you ever tried to log in to Steam but it says you've put the wrong password even though you know that you've put the correct password. That means, they claimed the account back.

    3. What you have to do is file a ticket to Steam Support with the following:

    Product: *STEAM*
    Category: Account Questions
    Sub-Category: Suspended/restricted account

Subject: A guy was selling his Steam account.

    Body:
The guy was selling his to account to make money out of it.

Link to the proof of the thread which points that he was selling it:
    [INSERT LINK HERE]

I am in no way involved in this. I am only informing you that this guy was directly breaking a term in the Agreement.

He was selling the account [INSERT ACCOUNT NAME].

    Thanks.

And also don't forget to put the claimed account's log in name into the log in name.

    4. Get a chargeback from Paypal. Click for more info here.

    5. Wait for your chargeback and also wait for a Steam Support Tech's response and the account will be restricted. FOREVER.

    *NOTE*
Do not do this for fun, I mean do not prank your friend by contacting Support and then telling them that your friend's account was sold/bought/traded account as it cannot be reactivated. It can be reactivated but it will take a long time to be reactivated.

If you have suggestions, please reply to this thread.

    Thank you.

I think I also taught you that never give your username to anyone even though you didn't gave them the password.

It is not 100% guarantee that steam support will disabled the account even if you tell them you bought a acc from someone and who has recovered the account. Sometimes, steam support would only tell you to ask seller for refund, which is sometimes steam support is useless. Only if you have pop,but chance is low if someone gives you a fake cdkey, pop, then there no chance that you will make acc disabled by support. It is really depends, some tech support are good some are just useless. Just from my experience and complains about steam support from others.

    if you say this:
how can you know account login name in this case?

for steam support it's looks like owner gets his hijacked account back (for example), and in this case guy who reported it can be that hijacker, or it's just fake report for fun etc... it's so many ways here, so never can be sure for 100%

I want to ask an opinion since you seem to know quite a lot on scams and how to get revenge.

Why do some people want to use Western Union and give you the steam account information within 24h, in other words as soon as they pick up the money at their local office, and not immediately?

Should I take care with those kind of sellers or is it just common practice?

    Thanks.

For WU, once they pick up the $ there is no chance you will get the money back. (Tell me if i m wrong) . Some prefer wu and not accept paypal, because paypal can chargeback. Too many reasons, but u can get real money right away if you use WU, but paypal it takes a while to transfer $ from paypal to your bank account.

Yes, according to WU you can't get your money back.

And that is why sellers who only want WU scare me since they could just sell you the account, give wrong account credentials or get it back after a few days and there's absolutely nothing you can do to get your money back.

This is why I'm asking whether it's safe or if it's just a smart way to scam buyers and what would an experienced buyer do in this case.

Its hard to tell, its all depends a seller or buyer is legit or not. By seeing his vouches, posts, and the time he joined sythe. There is not always safe when you buying or selling since it is internet = virtual world. But yeah always be careful, use middleman, check if he is legit or not. Then, make your final decision whether to do it or not. Again, there is always risky when you doing business on internet.
WU = Safe for the seller, not so safe for the buyer.
Better you pay after you receive the goods or maybe use Paypal which has its own dangers, but generally safer than WU
Credit card is possibly good too, but check with your bank first to see how you are covered.

they generally lock the account for a week or two before it is either unlocked or disabled. (usually the account has to have a clear id posted on the forums for it to be disabled though)

My personal opinion your thread doesn't have its place here, steam don't care of scammer or real seller of steam accounts. Because generally scammers sell accounts hacked and 80% of time steam don't disabled the account because screenshot aren't real proof for steam. For me revenge is a utopia. After I keep repeating never bought account with lot of games badge recent games ...

No, as I did this before. The guy sold me an account with 100+ games but he claimed it back so I contacted Steam that the account (I gave them the username) was breaking a term in Agreement as the person who owns the account sells it. They will restrict the account but not really disable.
