UPDATE: Ended up getting the KSD mod after I found out that my friend has the SVD (never paid attention) se here is what i got instead.




Found it for $42 bucks after shipping (fasttech was out of this mod.)

 

That's why I buy my juices made in the USA in an actual lab. Not some kid on the internet bottling the stuff with who knows what.

I'd probably trust a good vape shop to do it, but since online is cheaper with better selection I really can't see myself ever buying at a brick and mortar kind of place.


@N4N0. I've been vaping for a little while now and enjoying it. Like I said right now I have an ego-ce4 (non-rebuild-able). Any suggestions on what I should upgrade first? I was thinking about placing an order for 1-2 new tanks, a drip tip, and some flavors. Do you have any recommendations for tanks that will fit on this shitty (whatever its called, the battery portion)?

First of get a ce4 to 510 thread adapter (not 100% positive you need it, but i do know you need it for 510 to ce4). Next what style tank do you want? How big and materials? want a glass tank so you can get juices like cinnamon red hots so it doesn't eat away holes at your tank? Tanks i would recommend are protanks (mini, 2, or 3), iClear 30, Vivi nova (normal or mini), 3.5ml K2 are pretty good too. Really up to opinion on what you like (wick wise). If you want a good place to shop I suggest from fasttech takes about 2 weeks to get to you but they have very good rep and wide selection for fractions of prices in store. If you get a big enough order you can check out using ems (which is like $30) and get your shit in like 5 - 7 days.

 

Thanks for your response woodcut. What is your favorite out of those? In terms of looks, utility (I suppose being able to do cinnamons and stuff would be a plus), etc? I was looking at the protank 3 earlier but I'm really not sure what would be good. I don't really have a preference on size or anything but I'd probably lean towards a bit bigger rather than a bit smaller. I know nothing about styles, care to educate me?

Right now my cheap ego (might even be a knock off who knows) is giving me a burnt taste after about two tanks unless I clean it really well which is disappointing and annoying.

 

I have a vapour I use it when I run out of tobacco or I use it for when I'm indoors ( As I have children.. I don't like smoking indoors but with a vapour it's fine.. Their awsome and you can have lots of fun with them.

I'm pretty sad I just sit there watching it rise... phaha.

I have "Amber Leaf" <<-- Which is ok.

I've got "Cherry" flavor which is also ok..

 

yea the ce4 are the poops tbh. The protank 2 and 3 are the exact same design and liquid capacity, only difference is the pt3 has double the amount of wick as the pt2, but then wicks are also a tiny bit more for the pt3 too. (like .30 more each). My favorite out of all of them is the PT2 easy to change wick nice air flow and pretty good flavor. The pt3 would be just as good with better flavor but you go through juices way faster. I'm currently using the K2 3.5ml because I got a bigger mod and it looks better, very good and uses the same protank wicks.

Don't hate on knockoffs because they are literally the same thing at the stage your at right now. Even the mods that take batteries that are fakes are pretty good. I'm pretty sure my K2 is fake, when i bought it i didn't find an authentic labeling in description or title. Works better then the real one that I bought and broke after a 1 and a half foot drop. So fasttech all the way.

 

I got an Aerotank from my vapebox at the beginning of the month, which I've since given to Trin. It's a good tank, dual coil head, great airflow.

 

I appreciate your suggestions guys. I'll definitely check out the pt2/pt3 as well as the aerotank.

As you know I'm still new to this, what pre-wicked atomizer heads should I buy if I decided to go with something like the pt3? I assume I should just buy a 6 pack and swap them out every once and a while? I know people build every bit of these things including the wicks but I take it that isn't necessary with this setup right? I apologize in advance for all the questions, I've been doing my own research as well but a personal answer from someone who is into vaping is the easiest for these type of questions.

 

The wicks for a lot of these tanks are specific to that tank, though they're not hard to find if you look around. None of them HAVE to be rebuilt. You can, but you don't have to. You can buy more. They normally range around $2-4 each depending on where you buy them, and obviously less if you buy in bulk somewhere.

 

There is 1.8 ohms and 2.4 ohms versions of the wicks for all protanks. Fasttech sells them for a little under a dollar each(both versions), and they have free shipping.

 

A caveat to this - If you order anything from fasttech, make sure it's something you're willing to wait up to a month for. They're terrible when it comes to shipping.

 

I fully suggest you try aforementoined trippy sticks
Vaping marijuana makes for a very different high and is safer for fact.

As for my little rant about liquids
I KNOW there are some legitimate all US knowledgeable liquid manufacturers but they arent well known or marketed.

Most ecigs and liquids going around right now are from gas stations or shady stores bandwagoning before its regulated, not people who care about their products or customers.

It was more so just a broad warning to those less initiated. You know, the ones at the gas station who end up vaping mystery liquid from some joe dirt looking skeevy fuck .

 

I fell ya, But the point of this thread is to get all the vapors together to talk about this so it doesn't happen. I just found it a little discouraging to people just starting this out thinking some fry (futurama) looking teen kid is mixing chemicals up like a meth lab and calling it some schmag juice. Also I got a PAX vaporizer alogn with a digital volcano (Co-owned, shits expensive), and I just order a couple of these for my new Ecig:

Ever tried the E-Sheesha stuff? You can buy it at pretty much any SmokeShop, and it's a few bucks. It lasts quite a bit, and it tastes great. But, at the moment I don't think they're reusable. Anyhow, those are great; and I used to smoke E-Cigarette. I've got 2 Hookah's, and I smoke about a pack of cigarettes or more a day.

Well actually vaporbreak takes like 2 weeks along with fasttech. If you order batteries like I did then you got 1 month to wait because of new laws regarding there transporting.

The the hookah pens are a waste of money, they don't last that much in the realm of things. You can get an ecig starter and enough juice for 1000 hits for $25. While 10 of those pens are like $40 around here. Then You only got to buy liquid ($10 for over 1000 hits) and it saves money in the long run. My friend just switched over, he only uses it when we hit up the casino though.

 

You might need to use a lower voltage this usually depends on the liquid that you are using. Burnt taste could be from using your tank too low, this causes a sort of buildup on the coil/wick, you can either dry burn or change the coil

 

The only thing that I use is a PAX portable which I paid around 400$ for and its good for one or two heads but for a groups its pointless. I don't smoke tobacco only pot.

 

I might grab a lavatube v2.5 it looks pretty appetizing, anyone have any experience?

 

Anything made by volcano that has to do with vaping (ecig or you know) will be good. As for as buying one for $80 being the device only when it only supports a 18650 and can't telescope is crazy to me. I can run to a local shop and get a SVD starter with everything I need including battery (no charger though) for $90. It really depends on what you want though. They are very nice as stated.
