Power to the Players Polls

What's everyone's opinions about the content and the idea?

I think it's a good idea that they've realised 3 years too late. Perhaps if they tried this in 2011/2012 they might still have the huge numbers of players and not needed to spend the money to bring out an older version of the game just to get the player-base up. As for the content it seems exciting what they have planned; new dragons that drop skilling supplies, updated monster drops, easter event or another world event (Marimbo vs. Brassica Prime), minigame location, Inventor Skill or Elven city and soon to be world changes (less worlds or keep them as they are).

 

I think this is a positive change, as it seems that Jagex will deliver and there will be a set release date, however I'm interested in the other choices for updates and will they eventually come out. Runescape Players online has been increasing for the past few months after hitting a low so it maybe be working or might be from the bonds, and the Squeal might bring more players in.

 

Its really now power to the players to me. when the World event or world event 2 occured, I heard they were already making the animation of armadyl beat bandos meaning armadyl had to win. So I think they're using similar tactics in this part too. Idk tho but Elf city to me will definitely come out

Also Jagex does hear our voices but they're 1 step ahead of us.

 

They knew players didn't want the new skill to come out just yet, however, they only gave us one alternative, the Elf City. We get to choose the options that Jagex selects. I do agree with what they're doing though.

I think its good, but they could easily guess what we would vote on, so I honestly I don't feel as if the players really have any "power". I like the concept but if they had more options then I would truly feel as if I were making a difference by voting.

Well i think its a good idea, and jagex probably started doing it cause they saw the effect it had on oldschool runescape. OSRS is growing, and in my opinion will get bigger than rs3

 

I think it's too late, they had to do this before they added EoC into runescape.

 

I think its stupid and its going to be stupid trivial stuff. "Do you want a new bow in-game or an update to this minigame." Nothing important like "Should we drop development of eoc and work on reverting it back" or "Should we increase membership and remove microtransactions" etc :/

 

I agree, but at least the players can vote now? Better now then never i guess. Just gives us a little more power to where the game will be headed, since it looks like its heading straight to the cemetery

They are all limited, stupid updates that mean that jagex are happy no mater what happens.

 

I wish they implemented it before they put EOC lol, would of made runescape a much better game.

 

It seems Power to the Players Poles have lead to a hugely popular decision to bring back pre-EOC.

Im go na be a stickler and say that its just a combat change option not like 07 is i keep hearing people talk like its gonna be like oldschool which just idk makes me have to say something but on topic these polls i thought were going to be horrible, but hopefully from what ive seen no matter how shallow the choices at least you have a voice

 

There are terrible EOC-based updates that are going to come with the "legacy combat" that we did not have to deal with pre-EOC. It won't be exactly as you remember it, trust me. I don't even think it'll be close.

They're also hazarding the possibility of merging EOC and legacy combat in PvP worlds. Do you know how difficult that would be to execute? Let alone balance.
