    MMR plz explain to me.

How is MMR calculated? Ive never actually looked into it and if any1 could link me to a page explaining it id be grateful. The reason im asking is i honestly dont know and im curious about it. I play Support alot and i get alot of assists and turret assists but not to many kills or farm. Im wondering if this has a huge effect on my MMR. I cant seem to get the fuck out of this bronze hell. Im debating about just topping or jungling exclusively till i get outta this hell. Apparently ganking is a art form most dont know in bronze 5.

    S noobies

    MMR plz explain to me.

Score/performance/kills whatever is irrelevant to LP gains/MMR.

MMR/LP gains are solely based of wins and losses.

In short (simplified), the higher your Win/Loss ratio, the higher your MMR.

If your losses surpass your wins, you'll gain less and lose more. However, dont fret, win streaks and and consistency in maintaining them will bring your MMR back up. Also winning vs higher MMR teams gains you more MMR.

    MMR plz explain to me.

MMR is calculated based on two major factors:

    1. The biggest contributor is the MMR of the opponents in your game.
    2. You GAIN or LOSE MMR based on winning or losing the game.

Roughly speaking, the game compares your current MMR to the average MMR of the rest of the game. If you win, despite being lower than the opponents, you gain MMR. If you lose, despite being higher than the opponents, you lose MMR. Of course, wins in genral mean a gain and losses in general mean a loss in MMR, but they are increased in their amounts based on the MMR of your opponents.

That's why Saintvicious went 7W3L in his promos and got placed in gold. Even though he won more often than not, the people he won against were really low, so League gave him really low gains when he won. Likewise ,when he lost, his Diamond 1 MMR compared with the ~gold of his opponents meant he lost a lot of MMR when losing to people much lower.

    MMR plz explain to me.

The MMR of your teammates affects the gain/loss too.
You can read up on the ELO system, which is the chess rating system which was the base of the MMR.

    MMR plz explain to me.

This is why gold ELO shouldn't queue with bronze, btw. Losing with a bronze player means the gold player will lose a ton od MMR, which won't be made up in full by winning.

    MMR plz explain to me.

Yeah sellerman is 100% correct, the way you performed in game has no effect on MMR gain/loose that would make for way to much kill stealing etc. If you want to gain MMR you should focus on getting win streaks or duo queing with someone who is on a higher elo/mmr account. When you duo with someone who is higher not only do you gain slightly more elo per game and loose slightly less but you're MMR gained will be much better with the average MMR of the game being higher
