thanks for this guide mmorpg. I am going to be selling gold soon, and was wondering;

if previous people have used this vpn service, won't I possibly get banned for logging in an ip on that vpn that was previously used by a person who got banned?

 

Thx! Interesting question. I've have a thought once about this. It seems logic you'll get flagged by logging in on a VPN with a fresh lvl 3 having volume going through your account let's stand logging in on a VPN where a few bans where thrown on. In my opinion there's no 1005 safe way to avoid bans, there's just some behavior you can change which will help you getting flagged less --> less band --> less losses.

Anyway, to come back on your question, my advice is to use a VPS instead. Costs are little higher (We used to pay 45$ monthly) but there's no change of getting flagged on your PC or IP.

I'm actually a bit worried regarding PC flagging. Is it only by the .dat files that jagex can catch you?

 

Ye I'm using this VPN myself, never had troubles with it. it does no harm to hit your windows sign on the computer once a while and search on 'jagex' and 'runescape'. All files could be deleted. However when using Sandboxie there's an option to do this automatically when you close the program and therefore recommended to use.

btw mmorpg, would u recommend re-using the account you sold off, even if it hasn't been banned? Or should I just create a new one and buy membership?

 

Not necessary to switch unless you've done a bulk trade (1B+) on the account. Some people switch accounts every week or two out of precaution, I can not say it's wrong.

When I delete the actual Jagexcache folder the client's won't load.

 

The client is based on this cache, you cannot delete it and expect it to work.
You can however use Firefox and load the game from there

 

how about tips for buyers?

 

If you mean end-users don't worry, they'll never ban their own players. As they made public a while ago 50% of the players is buying gold, if they start banning them they'll lose half of their income which will never be allowed by their shareholders.
