    :)

Any tips you'd give to someone new?

I'm currently really liking playing mage. I used to play shaman/warlock in WoW so looking forward to unlocking those characters. Currently working on unlocking all characters.

Also, is there any potential RWT value within hearthstone?

It's a very fun game, glad you're liking it.

As far as tips go, mage is a great class to play when starting out. They have (arguably) the best hero power in the game.

The biggest tip I can give you is that, regardless of your class, you should always aim to maintain board control (killing creatures over swinging at your opponent directly.)

As of right now, no, there isn't RWT value in Hearthstone because you aren't able to trade cards. However, even though it is unlikely, if Blizzard did release card trading in the future there would certainly be a marketplace for it.

As for RWT, do you think once the game is fully released and possibly even supported by commercials and online advertisement and the like (as well as tournaments?) people would purchase rankings?

Probably, yes. Once rewards are released for rankings and the like, I could definitely see it happening.

Enjoying this game as well. I'm using a priest and I always lose to decks that can draw multiple cards each turn. They are just overwhelming me once it gets to 8 turn onwards.

Yeah, I play mostly mage, occasional warlock. I think once I have the cards a shaman deck could be fun as well. As mage I definitely just try to get my spell damage cards out on the field and then just field control field control until late game. Eventually I have 4 cards in my hand, a card for any situation and my opponent is making plays drawing single cards. It's a slow win but it's a safe one in my experience.

I started playing last night and too love it. It's so addictive. I've beaten a few new guys but still run Mage. Still learning, but this is amazing! haha

Hey, nice that you're enjoying it:

Tips: vs mage dont flood the board turn 7 he can do 4 dmg to all your shit, or summon divine shield guys. also keep all your minions above 1 health so he cant hero power

    Vs priest

beware of turn 10 mind control (takes your char) so dont summon anything too big, also he will heal his minions to make favourable trades

vs rogue, they can do huge burst out of nowhere, try to get taunts up

vs druid, try to play against swipe, it does 4 to 1 and 1 to all so keep them above 1 hp too. they have strong lategame

vs shaman: kill spellpower totem kill it asap and dont flood board vs lightning storm

vs warrior, save your swamp ooze for his weapon

vs warlock, try to burst them so they can't lifetap as much, keep board clear vs murloc warlock

    All very solid tips!

As a mage I can definitely say around 7 you having any creatures on the field becomes less and less likely. Also, if a mage has 3+ cards and has ANY + spell damage characters on the field be very careful..I've won several games by literally exhausting all my opponents creatures and simply hero power + 2/2 geomancer attacking my opponent while he's defenseless/with useless cards. At that point I can throw my fireball/frostbolt at my enemy.

After playing for awhile I wanted to revisit this comment..

    wut????

Priests are able to draw more cards than anyone! I played with a guy that literally drew like 10 more cards than I did, the resources were just overwhelming. Northshire cleric, hero power, the card thats like +hp/draw card, lightwell, etc etc. Priests draw a ridiculous amount of cards. Not to mention northshire at 1/3 isnt even a bad low drop (3 health is sort of hard to kill) creatures like Bloodfen Raptor or some rare cards some to mind but what else has 3 attack? I'm not aware of a card that has 3 attack and charge at that level, certainly not a card considered "good" that does.

Coming at this from an MTG/drafter standpoint: watch your manacurve. Find something that you feel comfortable with. I haven't play Hearthstone but I've watched a lot of it and Manacurve is something important that will decide the pacing of your deck.

This is exactly what i run. Cleric doesn't last long though and I usually use it mid to late game when I already have minions in place. Occasionally I use it at early phase if I know that the enemy can't get rid of it quickly.
