Onlycoin

Would you buy one?

It's basically a one card that has all your credit cards and membership cards. The downside of buying a Onlycoin is it cost about 50 bucks or $100 bucks and it's battery life is 2 years which needs to be replaced again ($50-$100) again.

 

Not to mention, one would have access to all of your credit cards should you misplace this Onlycoin. I wouldn't use it. I've only got two debit cards and a costco card. They're easy enough to keep track of, so it'd be a waste of $50+.

 

I'd probably buy one because I really like the concept. The fact that you can carry around all your gift/reward cards as well is definitely a plus to me.

 

Negative, its linked to your phone. If you are not within a certain range of your phone when you try to use the card, it wont activate.

So you can't use it if you accidentally leave your phone at home..? Well then it's STILL not for me, because I do that all the time. Not to mention my phone is always dead because iphone batteries are worse than those lemon battery chemistry kits

 

Are you sure that's correct? From what I can see it can tell you if you've left your coin somewhere (on your phone) and it can automatically deactivate your card if away from your phone long enough if you set it up that way. Haven't seen anything about not being able to use it without your phone.


I carry around my wallet with all my cards anyway, so carrying around an onlycoin would probably be exactly the same risk for me. (if not less)

 

I would if I had more than 1 credit card :/

 

I believe it works for gift and reward cards as well, which is the biggest plus for me.
