Yeah, N4N0 has turned this into a hobby. He is always tinkering with different mods and rebuilds. It's fascinating to me. I have learned it is not an uncommon thing at all.

It never ceases to amaze me how much money people will put into flavored steam... I've vaped before, I find every flavor my friend had tasted like soggy, chewed gum that's almost lost all its respective flavor. Of course, all he had was vanilla, chocolate, and some nectar flavor, but I imagine it's not the flavor that grosses me out.

Was on the news here regarding what's actually in them that could be just as detrimental to health.

Apparently there is no scientific study that renders them healthy or safe (from what I read). A lot of people I know use them as a replacement for nicotine though. Some food for thought.

Would just like to chime in here on this. When you do have higher nicotine say 18 ml/mg it can cause hart problems and blood flow problems because it goes straight to the blood stream. I read that somewhere couldn't link you though.

But, I think that is if the person is using it at that level long term. Most people lower the level over time so there is no real side affects then. Would be helpful if you could find the link when you have the time.

PG/VG, nicotine, and flavoring as detrimental to your health as cigarettes, you've got to be kidding!

Vaping isn't necessarily healthy (obviously contain nicotine) but it isn't exactly dangerous either.

But, they do have juices that have zero nicotine in it.

I read somewhere that a study comparing vaping a 24mg nicotine and second hand smoke, that the vaping gives off almost no nicotine in the air which deems it safe to use around people that don't smoke. So, it wouldn't be harmful to the user or those around them. There aren't any studies that show what long term affects it has on a person since vaping is still fairly new. I suspect long term it would be harmful. The goal really is to cut down on the nicotine.

The e-cigs you get from a liquor store or something, maybe. The ones I/we're using, no.

There's normally about 5 ingredients in the e-juice max. Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerine, Nicotine, Flavoring, and Possibly food coloring. All USP grade.

Well N4N0. after lots of research and talking to the guy down at the store I think I actually will be getting the SVD. It's easy to use, has the battery level indicator (on firing button), nice blue LCD display, can literally use any type of battery, and has the nice chrome finished buttons. I'll be getting the 18650 battery for sure!!! I'm honestly so excited for Saturday. And I'm pretty sure even after I buy the battery and charger with the mod it will be $10 cheaper then the tesla.

Highly suggest anyone going into vaping that you order from fasttech.com

Prices are so much cheaper then instore.

I got an authentic iTaste SVD with both tubes, two tanks and extra coils for $60 (over $100 at a retail store in the US)

    Plus two sony US18650V3 3.7V 2150mAh for $8.29

And a Nitcore l2 Lithium battery charger for $15.05

Altogether this would cost over $160 at my local shop but its $84.05 with free shipping.

I've been using the vapir no.2 vaporizer for over a year now. Love it. I often make edibles with the vaped bud remains.

I laughed for a good bit at "trippy sticks" . Please tell me you talk like that in real life.

Vaporization (and the term "vaping") has been in the cannabis world quite a while. Considerably longer than e-cig type liquid vapes, so many people (myself included) thought this thread was about weed hahah.

Quality control on the liquids are a major concern, too many home chemist types making "custom blends" with research chemicals and artificial flavoring. I know a guy who opened a shop locally, he's an idiot and he makes the liquids. Its unregulated and inconsistent 90%+ of the time made by an amateur.

Take this into consideration a cigarette is a cigarette, like the millions of others from that brand all alike and consistent. Sure they are bad for you but any one of those millions of mass produced cigarettes wont kill you the damage is done by nicotine and smoke inhalation.. With these electronic cigarettes you eliminate the damage caused by smoke but are left with some startling detriments, the vast amount of variables affecting liquids. Your liquid may have of been mixed by an idiot, the research chemical supplier (primarily of chinese origins) had an inconsistent or bad batch ect ect. Nicotine has been used as a poison for hundreds of years. Im not apt to trust just your average dumbass looking to make a buck (most of these new vape store guys) to consistently deliver a quality and SAFE product. These guerilla manufacuring tactics and its ease to do so has me sceptical, until the liquids are regulated and an actual study is done I would suggest people not do it.

Tl;dr I like the idea of it as the vapors inoffensive to nonsmokers like me but lack of regulation and poisonous chemicals dont make for a good mix hehe

After messing around with a vape I got for a while I have to agree with Nod here. The lady that most people go to here to get their supplies literally has little to no knowledge about the chemicals she is buying (besides that the label says Made in the USA, as she pointed out when we went there to pick up a system) and pretty much mixes whatever she sells by eyeballing it. I feel a little safer buying through established dealers on the internet, but I still don't have that much faith.

Depends, are when you start getting into it you learn that voltage allows more power to go to your coils, but the coils have automatted watts so you can actually only get so much smoke out of it (basically maxs out at about 4.2 volts) If you want good watt/voltage changing mods that I can even find good prices for (im talking like $50 - $80 for whole setup [batteries, charger, and actual mod]) let me know and ill get you a list and where to buy from.

Of course I talk like that in real life I'm a self proclaimed goon. And I do agree with you to an extent. The local shops are usually not newbies to the process, I go to the original store the owner still works at and talk to him all the time He's been doing it since about 2004. If you don't feel safe there's always places online usually from Cali that I wouldn't ever hesitate to buy from like FivePawns. It's really all choice. I have a medical condition where I can't smoke tobacco, so right now this is the best option for me as I don't see me giving up smoking completely. Thank god the ganja actually helps my unfortunate situation [medically and the nice feel along with it :) ].
