    Gaming laptop brand??

I want to look into buying a laptop for gaming purposes only.

One well known brand that I know of is the ASUS ROG Series. Other brands such as MSI, Clevo/Sager. Clevo/Sager and MSI offer the best bang for your buck for a graphics & processor. I don't know if Clevo/Sager or MSI is any good than ASUS but as far I heard, their cooling system is very good.

Which brand should I go for?

Depends on how much you're looking to spend. If you have the cash and you want a powerhouse, then Sager is a top notch choice.

If you want a very good gaming system for a fair price, then you want Asus.

Go for ASUS, they're the best gaming brand for me.

I assume you've already thought about this, but desktops > laptops for gaming. Either way make sure your laptop (whatever you choose to get) has good cooling, you don't want get an amazing laptop and it dies within 1 - 2 years for overheating.

I know about sager but what about their cooling system? Is it any better than ASUS?
would a good cooling pad suffice for a super hot clevo/sager laptop?
ASUS has good cooling but i'll throw in a laptop cooling pad for extra cooling.

building your own laptop would lead to huge problems later on. I never knew you could even build your own..

    What's your price range?

The Asus G75 series would be a good laptop to grab, I have one myself and it's nice.

Been using it about a year and a half now with no issues at all. Even mined LTC with it for a few weeks.

2.000.00 USD dollar budget but might lean torwards to a computer + laptop for 2k.

I need to pick a laptop brand which is reliable and very good cooling system meaning it won't overheat.

Seems a bit overkill for just one game right? 2000$ to play league of legends... but then i need to multi-task and possibility use virtualbox for botting too

Why do you NEED a laptop? $2k would build you a formidable PC.

I need a laptop to be able to play games, browse the internet, open some programs to listen to music or skype. When I play League of Legends, I have to close everything to minimize the lag and huge fps drop.

I like to keep like 5 webpages opened on Chrome, Virtual box for torrents and my downloads, league of legends, Skype. Thats pretty much it though really.

Clevo/sager for sure. Top-notch cooling, absolutely un-matchable performance by ANYBODY except alienware(but for the price youd pay to match the sager's performance, I wouldn't bother with AW.) there are tons of models and options, to where you can even get these with Desktop CPU's AND you can also get SLI on a few models aswell.

MSi would be second recommendation. While the cooling is good but not best, the features offered by MSi are above ALL other brands. Plus, they use the MXM interface like Sager, so you can upgrade the GPU later on if you'd like.

Sager/Clevo laptops have top notch cooling system on par with ASUS?

One thing I want to point out is if the parts are any reliable to ASUS parts in their laptops.

You're not answering my question. Why do you need a LAPTOP. Why can't you build a PC? What's so important about going with a laptop vs a desktop?

Technically, I could build a PC but then finding the cheapest parts which can takes up to a year. ( finding the lowest priced gpu, cpu, psu, hdd which I already have for a computer [1tb 7200rpm 2.5in $30 Western Digital mypassport], monitor ). Other than that, computers aren't portable at all and I don't know how to apply thermal paste  .

But anyways, I want i7 + mid range GPU. I choose i7 because it'll probably last me for good 5-10 more years. Mid range gpu will last me forever until I can't run games under lowest gpu anymore.

Aren't portable? Would you really need to move it though? The things you listed you will use it for all seem to be home based. You will be way better off with a desktop over a laptop in that respect both in performance and cost.

If I were going to buy a Gaming Laptop, I'd definitely buy an Asus. I never liked them but I got a few Asus products lately and OMG they're insane! Lol

Jack makes a very valid point here. In terms of upgrading, maintenance, repairs, cost, and performance.... You really should go with a PC.

You say one of the breaking points is because you don't know how to apply thermal paste? That's kind of a terrible excuse.

Youtube is an amazing tool in terms of learning this stuff, and it's far from difficult to begin with.

There's also a plethora of forums, videos, guides, and more that specialize in teaching and assisting people with building PC's.

Yeah just build a PC and get a cheap laptop for yt videos/skype.
I use a laptop all around but i really dont do anything special. It can handle LoL really good,Cost around 1k when it was released (a year or two ago).
Im not really too good when it comes to computers,My laptop is a toshiba satellite P775 (good for light gaming, and basic stuff but nothing too high end,And it has a shitty graphics card)
But toshiba also made Qosmio,Good looking and if my laptop can handle LoL high def without lag,Imagine what the Qosmio can pull :p
But again,Im not too sure how good these are,For all i know toshiba can be considered udder rubbish compared to other brands but hey,it works for me.

There really isn't any reason for you to wait for broadwell to come out. Haswell was just released recently and they'll be coming out with haswell products for quite a while. There is always going to be something new right around the corner, that's just how computer stuff works. If you go with a solid haswell chip you'll have the ability to upgrade for the foreseeable future.
